THE FOLLOWING PET IS FOSTERED IN TEXAS BUT AVAILABLE FOR TRANSPORT!!! Details belowAdoption application: https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/57167/genericMeet Tonka!Tonka is a big, goofy, lovable Akita with a silly personality and plenty of affection to share. He loves walks, frozen Kongs, puzzle toys, squeaky toys, and any activity that keeps his mind engaged. When he's excited, he's all kisses and enthusiasm, and he's learning his manners every day.Like many Akitas, Tonka is not the right fit for every home. He is looking for an experienced, breed-savvy adopter who understands the unique traits and needs of Akitas and is committed to providing structure, training, and proper management. He would thrive with an active family and a securely fenced yard where he can stretch his legs and enjoy supervised outdoor time.Tonka has a strong prey drive and is very interested in squirrels and cats, so he will need careful introductions to other pets and may be happiest as the only dog in the home. Because we're still learning his preferences with other dogs, any introductions should be done slowly and thoughtfully.Tonka's ideal family will appreciate his goofy spirit, continue his training, and understand that building trust and maintaining boundaries are key to helping him succeed. In return, you'll gain a loyal, entertaining companion with a huge heart and plenty of personality. He was born in February 2026 and is being fostered in Texas.OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN TEXAS OR PENNSYLVANIA BUT AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION AND TRANSPORT OUT OF STATE. Read below for more information. All of our dogs are located in a foster home in Texas or Pennsylvania. Our dogs are transported to a predetermined location agreed upon by the rescue. The adoption contract and fee are finalized prior to transport. As a Mutts N Such direct adoption, the adoption interview/meet and greet occurs on video call (Skype, FB Messenger call, Facetime, etc). Our out of state adoption fee is $350 plus transport (varies by location). This fee includes all current vaccinations, deworming, a registered microchip, fecal analysis, spay/neuter for pets 6 months & older, and a heartworm test if over 6 months old. All dogs will be current on flea/heartworm prevention. A health exam will be completed and a certificate issued by a veterinarian within 10 days. Story
Meet Koda! Your new fluffy BFF! Age: 3 years | Weight: 63 lbs Koda is a stunning husky/malamute mix who is ready to find her forever home! Unlike many huskies, she’s a low-maintenance girl, perfectly content with a short walk or some yard time before heading back inside to enjoy the AC. Koda is crate trained, walks nicely on leash, and is potty trained. She’s gentle, curious, and independent, making her an easy companion who doesn’t demand constant attention. That said, Koda will do best with structure and boundaries. She can be protective of her food, toys, and favorite spots, so she will need a confident adopter who understands how to manage resource guarding or is open and willing to learn. Feeding her in her crate and skipping couch privileges will help set her up for success. Because she can be protective of her things with other dogs and is a bit too interested in cats, she will do best as an only pet in the home. Koda is also a true beauty queen! With her gorgeous coat, she’ll need regular brushing to keep her looking and feeling her best. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who enjoys a calmer lifestyle, Koda may be your perfect match. She’s ready to share her love and personality with the right family! Apply to adopt Koda at: acesplacerescue.org/availabledogs Located in Denton, Texas
