At only 10 months old, Onyx is still just a young boy with his whole life ahead of him. He has been given the opportunity to begin a new chapter, and what he needs now is a committed forever family who will give him the time, patience, security, and love every rescue dog deserves. Onyx deserves the chance to grow up knowing what it means to feel safe, wanted, and truly part of a family. Adoption is a lifelong commitment, and we are looking for someone ready to give this handsome young boy the stable and loving future he deserves. ❤️ Adoption Information Onyx’s adoption fee is $1,695, a non-refundable donation that helps support Ginger’s Pet Rescue and allows us to continue rescuing dogs in need. His adoption fee includes: Veterinary health examination Age-appropriate vaccinations ✂️ Spay/neuter Bloodwork Deworming Heartworm testing Fecal testing Microchip For his safety, an Apple AirTag or GPS tracking device is required for adoption. Animal Information:  Garth and Wayne are 9-week-old Shepherd/Poodle brothers who somehow found themselves in the Stanislaus shelter in California. NOT cool.  These two sweet, scruffy dudes deserved way better, and, like, one look at those totally adorable faces and we were all, “Dude… we gotta get them out of there." So we did. Now Garth and Wayne are ready to rock their way to new homes here in Seattle. They’re young, goofy, cuddly, and 100% made of best friend material.  Party on, pups! We can't wait to meet you! Foster Profile:  Garth is a 2.5-month-old Shepherd and Poodle mix (Best guess). Picture a small scruffy professor with a beard and a lot of opinions. That's Garth.  He's smart, curious, and always up for something. Pointers were bred to work all day and Poodles were bred to outthink everyone in the room, so Garth learns fast and gets bored fast. Toys, puzzles, and short training sessions keep that brain happy.  Garth is curious with new people and does great with other dogs. Potty training is going well with a consistent schedule. Crate time comes with a short speech, then a nap. He can even sometimes make it through the night without a potty break.  A home that knows high-energy puppies would be ideal. Someone ready to put in the walks, the training, and the patience. The payoff is a loyal, clever sidekick who thinks you hung the moon.  If you want a dog with brains, a beard, and plenty of love to give, Garth might be your guy Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter (on contract, if applicable), core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, any indicated preventative care, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian. Animal Profile: Buddy is a 4.5-year-old Doodle (1/2 Border Collie 1/2 Standard Poodle). He was purchased from a breeder prior to his owners having children. Buddy is a friendly but slightly anxious guy who has not adjusted well to having a toddler in the home. His family invested in a 4-week board and train with a local dog trainer in hopes that it would help Buddy feel more comfortable around small toddlers. Buddy completed his training; he has excellent house and leash manners, is house trained, crate trained; and knows the ‘place’ command. Unfortunately he was still too uncomfortable around the kids after training, and his family decided it was best to find him a new home. Buddy has been trained using balanced methods, including e collar for off leash reliability. Buddy does great at doggy daycare, but does have some resource guarding around food and select toys when it comes to other dogs. While he enjoys his dog friends, we think he’d be happiest as an only dog. Buddy has not lived with cats. Buddy is currently in foster care with a balanced trainer, and doing well. Foster Update: coming soon! Adoption Info: The adoption fee is $550 which includes his neuter, core vaccinations,  DPPV, Bordetella, microchip, and recent health check with a veterinarian.
