Story
Animal Information:  Lila is a 1-year-old Lab/Labradoodle mix who came to us as an emergency intake. Her owner was fleeing a domestic violence situation and sadly could not bring Lila with them. Lila has been very loved and well cared for her whole life, and we promised her family that we would find her a wonderful home. Lila is a happy, social girl who loves everyone she meets. She went to doggy daycare regularly and does great with both small and large dogs. She also lived with two children under 7 and absolutely loved them. She is crate trained, house trained, loves car rides, and knows basic obedience. She does need some work on her leash manners because she likes to pull, but she is young and eager to learn. She is also learning not to jump, but approaches everything in life with 12 out of 10 enthusiasm. Lila has the softest ears, the sweetest face, and such a loving personality. She is a really special girl who deserves a family of her own. We know the right home is out there for her, and we can't wait to see her find it.  Foster Profile: Coming Soon! Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, any indicated preventative care, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization (ID 81-5101166). Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was surrendered to our rescue when her family was fleeing an unsafe home. She arrived in our care on 8/28/26. She will be available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care.September 4, 2026, 4:05 pm

Story
Animal Profile: Buddy is a 4.5-year-old Doodle (1/2 Border Collie 1/2 Standard Poodle). He was purchased from a breeder prior to his owners having children. Buddy is a friendly but slightly anxious guy who has not adjusted well to having a toddler in the home. His family invested in a 4-week board and train with a local dog trainer in hopes that it would help Buddy feel more comfortable around small toddlers. Buddy completed his training; he has excellent house and leash manners, is house trained, crate trained; and knows the ‘place’ command. Unfortunately he was still too uncomfortable around the kids after training, and his family decided it was best to find him a new home. Buddy has been trained using balanced methods, including e collar for off leash reliability. Buddy does great at doggy daycare, but does have some resource guarding around food and select toys when it comes to other dogs. While he enjoys his dog friends, we think he’d be happiest as an only dog. Buddy has not lived with cats. Buddy is currently in foster care with a balanced trainer, and doing well. Foster Update: coming soon! Adoption Info: The adoption fee is $550 which includes his neuter, core vaccinations,  DPPV, Bordetella, microchip, and recent health check with a veterinarian. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application  September 4, 2026, 4:05 pm

He may be wary of new people at first, but with patience and gentle handling, he blossoms into a deeply affectionate companion.Monkey is great with dogs of all sizes, and he especially adores small, playful pups. He gains confidence from a canine companion and will thrive better with a smaller easy going dog. He is crate trained, enjoys space to stretch out, and would love a yard for doing his proper zoomies. He’s a strong guy still learning polite leash manners, so continued positive training will help him succeed. Before arriving at the shelter, he experienced significant neglect, and as a result he takes time to build trust with new people. Connolly thrives best in a savvy, low-traffic home where he can feel safe and supported as he continues to come out of his shell. He has interacted well with other large dogs here at the shelter, though he will need slow, thoughtful introductions to any resident pets. Regular grooming will be important to keep him healthy and comfortable. With the right environment and a kind, consistent handler, Connolly has the potential to blossom into a devoted companion.

Story
CoCo is a stunning 1.5-year-old purebred Standard Poodle with the kind of temperament this breed is so well known and loved for 🩷🐩 Sweet, affectionate, intelligent, and eager to please, CoCo has been an absolute joy in foster care. She has a calm and gentle nature, loves being around people, and thrives on attention and companionship. Whether she’s following her humans around the house, relaxing nearby, or happily greeting everyone she meets, CoCo simply wants to be part of the family. She is currently being fostered with children and other dogs and has done wonderfully with both. CoCo is friendly, social, and has a soft, loving personality that makes her easy to adore. She enjoys playtime, affection, and being included in daily activities, but also settles nicely and enjoys quiet time with her people. Like many Standard Poodles, CoCo is incredibly smart and observant. She would do well in a home that will continue to give her love, structure, companionship, and opportunities to thrive both mentally and emotionally. She is the type of dog that forms deep bonds with her family and will make a loyal and devoted companion. CoCo is currently receiving all the love and care she deserves while she prepares for her forever home. We can’t wait to see this beautiful girl find the happy ending she has always deserved 🩷 Coco needs to be adopted with her partner Teddy.

Story
Meet Arthur! My name is Arthur and I am a young, good-natured, and affectionate mixed-breed dog that weighs 65# and I would love to make your acquaintance.  They say I am very popular with the ladies, but buddies are cool too. I like being outside on sunny days, although I consider myself an indoor dog.  I really just prefer to be where my people are.  I am potty-trained and I sleep on my own bed next to my stepsister.  I’ve recently been neutered and I have had my first set of shots and something called a microchip.  I am happy all of the time and I still feel like a puppy a lot of days. I have a lot of energy that I need to manage, but once I get a little tired out, I can settle down and relax like everybody else.  As I get older, it will start to get easier for me. To help me manage it now, I like to be taken on long walks that give me plenty of time to smell the flowers.  A hike is even better! My leash skills are pretty good, but I’m young and I am still working on them.  I still get distracted a little…bit… …was that a Squirrel?!! I am very athletic and I bet I can keep up with any human!  I like to run and jump, and I have a very graceful trot where I just glide along the ground.   It just comes naturally, I guess.  I like playing in the water when the hose comes out, and I can jump very high to try to bite the stream and then chase it all over.  My stepsister just watches, but I think it’s great fun!  I like shaking my stuffed animal toys (but not too hard my foster says) and playing tug-of-war with old towels. I wish the whole world could be my playground! I have been staying with my foster family for about a month now and we have been getting along great! They have a nice big yard for me to run in, my stepsister gives me somebody to annoy, and they are super nice to me. They give me food!   I just think I’m ready to find my forever home now.  Once I do, I will want to stay with my people always.  I think I would like it if I wasn’t the only dog.  I don’t really like being by myself too much and always prefer company.  When I find that, I will be the happiest dog in the world! I’ve been getting a lot of attention in my current home, some structure, and a familiarity to their schedule.   I am very food motivated and it always seems like I’m hungry.  My stepfamily has been teaching me a lot.  Everybody tells me that I’m super smart! Arthur is vaccinated, neutered and chipped. His adoption fee is $450 We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! To expedite to meet with this dog, please go to our site at www.savinggreatanimals.org and fill out an application. We look at the first applications to arrive, so we hope to hear from you soon! Gabbana just wants human attention. He is sweet and a great lap dog. He is pretty athletic as well but doesn’t need a whole lot of exercise. He has been around dogs of all sizes his whole life. He is 4 years old. He has been around children from infant to 5 years old. He does have diabetes and needs 1 shot morning and night with his meals. Story
Please note that this dog is currently located in TX and will be transported once adopted. Our application can be found at haydudeequine.org. Oh, this is already hilarious. 😂 I’d lean even harder into the **tiny German supervisor** bit, while making Betty sound so lovable that people immediately want to meet her. Here’s a punchier version: **Guten Tag.** I am Betty Boop. Yes, like ze cartoon. No, I do not find zis ironic. I am a 4-year-old Miniature Schnauzer with excellent house manners, a magnificent beard, and a very important job: **keeping everyone else under control.** You see, someone has to maintain order around here. When other dogs begin wrestling, zooming, celebrating, or generally behaving like complete hooligans, I step in. Immediately. I do not yell. I do not make a scene. I simply arrive with my eyebrows, my beard, and ze unmistakable look of a tiny German supervisor who has seen enough. I may need a little time to decide if other dogs are acceptable. Once I have completed my investigation and determined they understand the rules, we can be friends. Probably. But if anyone gets too rowdy, I will issue a correction. **Ordnung muss sein.** There will be ORDER. Now, **humans?** Ahhh, humans are different. ❤️ I love EVERYBODY. Stranger? Come sit down, bitte. Have you met me? No? Doesn't matter. Are you holding a lap? Excellent. I will be occupying it immediately. I am affectionate, devoted, and very serious about my cuddle schedule. Petting is not merely encouraged. **It is mandatory.** I am also a professional shadow. Where you go, I go. Kitchen? I am there. Living room? Already there. Bedroom? Obviously. Bathroom? **Especially bathroom.** I don't know why Americans think they need privacy. This is very strange to me. If you are showering, I will supervise. If you are brushing your teeth, I will supervise. If you are doing absolutely nothing of importance, I will still supervise. I am looking for a home where my person is around a lot because I am not interested in being a part-time employee. I am seeking a **full-time human.** Preferably one with a lap. I may be a little bossy with my fellow dogs, but underneath all ze eyebrows and managerial responsibilities is a sweet, affectionate little girl who wants nothing more than to love her person, be by their side, and make sure everyone is following proper household procedures. I am dignified. I am loyal. I am fabulous. I am slightly judgmental. And frankly, my beard deserves its own zip code. So, if you are looking for a tiny German supervisor who will love you with her whole heart, follow you everywhere, inspect every suspicious activity, and occasionally remind the other dogs who is really in charge... **Congratulations. Your search is over.** Ich bin Betty. 🇩🇪❤️ **Now please sit down. I have an inspection to conduct.**
