Meet Flash! Hi there! My name is Flash, and I’m a 10-year-old, 12-pound Lhasa Apso (or something close to it!) with a big personality packed into a little body. I’m a social guy who truly loves everyone I meet—no warm-up period needed! I’ve been around children ages four and up and do great with them. In fact, one of my favorite parts of the day is when the kids get home from school—I get so excited to see them and join in on the fun! I’m a well-mannered gentleman with great house habits. I’m house trained and prefer lounging on my cozy dog bed over spending time in a crate. I walk nicely on a leash and really enjoy getting out for strolls where I can take my time sniffing, exploring, and checking out the world around me. I even like water, so maybe there are some beach adventures in my future! When it comes to other dogs, I do best with calm, respectful companions. Dogs that are too dominant or “in your face” can make me a little nervous, so I’d love a laid-back canine friend—or to be your one and only. My vision isn’t perfect, but don’t worry—I get around just fine! I may see shadows here and there, but I navigate my world confidently and don’t bump into things. I’m neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped, so I’m all set for my next chapter. If you’re looking for a sweet, friendly, easygoing companion to share your days with, I might just be your guy. I came into rescue after a nice lady kept seeing me tied up outside a local tire shop. I would just lay on the concrete all day. My new people talked the owner of the tire shop into letting me have a better life by finding a new family. That was no way for me to live. Story

Barber is a 2 year old Papillon. He is a distinguished young man who has a great tail and a perfect downward dog pose. He often has 1 ear up and 1 down. He is very mellow and calm. He seems a little unsure about being a free dog, but he is also super sweet and asks for and seeks affection in a gentle and kind way. He is curious and likes to be near people. He doesn't know how to be a lap dog yet, but wants to be. He loves gentle affection. He is also trusting and not afraid of people. He's a great little dog! He often curls up in his crate or just plops down on the floor. He is unfamiliar with couches or beds. Barber is learning to go potty outside but had lots of accidents in the beginning. It's gotten much better when he needs to be taken out more frequently. He’s been going out every 2 hrs and no accidents since. He is also learning the command 'go potty' and is doing well. He is a fast learner. He is a timid little guy and a very gentle soul. I think he will need someone to help him gain confidence about being a free dog. He seems to really like his crate for naps so he would be easy to crate train. He might do best in a quiet, slow, relaxed home. He is skiddish with fast movements. He is not his ideal weight and would benefit from gaining a little weight. You can pick him up and even though he's a little unsure about it, he still allows it and enjoys being held. Good with other dogs, cats, but doesn’t have much experience with kids. He is so distinguished and somewhat reserved. The way he moves is dainty. He follows his human around the yard and if he does venture off it's really easy to get him to come back. He is also laid back and a really easy dog. He just needs more confidence and frequent potty breaks. -----  A Quick but Important Note to All Adopters: Please remember that none of our dogs arrive fully trained. Most come from tough or uncertain beginnings and may have never lived in a home or known basic routines. That means:  ✧ They are not potty trained on arrival. Most dogs regress in potty training when moving to a new environment.  ✧ They may lack basic manners (like leash walking or appropriate chewing).  ✧ They’re learning, growing, and doing their best—but they will need patience, structure, and compassion to succeed.  The majority of these pups have lived in the confinement of a cage or kennel run for most - if not all - of their lives. Because of this, we strongly discourage the use of crates for anything other than vehicle transport. They deserve the chance to decompress and learn what true freedom and comfort feel like.  Our amazing foster homes work hard to start these dogs on the right path, but they are rescues, not finished products. These dogs need time, consistency, and a loving home willing to meet them where they are.  Also, breed designations are our best guesses based on appearance and behavior. We can't guarantee breed, size, adult weight, or coat type.

Story

Ouai is a sweet and calm girl who loves to be held! She is a Lhasa Apso/Miniature Poodle puppy. She is happy to be carried around, ride in the car on your lap, or snuggle up on the couch. Ouai has the softest silkiest hair and wags her little tail the moment she sees you. Ouai is doing well going potty outside and when she’s inside will seek out the pee pass. She’ll probably need an adaptation period in a new home. Ouai sleeps through the night with her sister in a shared pen, they use a pee pad overnight. Ouai loves kids and has been comfortable with ages 2-14, cats, small and big resident dogs. Squeaky toys and little stuffies are her fave toys! When you are out she would probably do well in an x pen with a bed, pee pad on her own or with sister puppy. Going poop and pee outside and will use the pee pad inside most of the time. She doesn’t have experience with carpet. She loves everyone! She likes to observe and take it in before jumping in to action.
