Story
Miso is an incredibly sweet boy with some issues. He was approximately 7 or 8 when I adopted him from the shelter, and he's now about 9 or 10. I love him to pieces, but behavioral issues in apartment living after some changes in my circumstances as well as some upcoming medical bills that I cannot afford mean I am forced to find a new home for my sweet son. As I said, Miso is from the shelter, and his background before that is unknown but doesn't seem to have been good - he very much does not get along well with other dogs, so he would demand to be the only pet. He takes a long time to warm up to people, but becomes very strongly attached and socially anxious - despite my attempts to train him, he barks nonstop when I leave the apartment, leading to seriously bothering the neighbors. For this reason, he definitely would do best in a home where someone is usually home to keep him company. He also needs multiple teeth pulled, which I cannot afford.

Story
Meet Sassy, a Lhasa Apso with a lamb-sized personality packed into a pint-sized pooch! She's a spunky gal who loves the great outdoors and is almost as potty trained as she is playful. However, she had a slight detour on the road to perfect potty etiquette when her foster sister, Shirley, came along-but they're working it out, one paw at a time! Sassy is a leash-in-training star who dreams of exploring the world one sniff at a time. Toys? Oh, she's a connoisseur, with a particular fondness for her beloved Lambchop. This little lady is all about the cuddles and has a special spot reserved right next to her favorite human. She's a social butterfly, loving everyone she meets, turning walks into meet-and-greets. If you're looking for a companion who's all sass and all class-with a heart as fuzzy as her coat-let Sassy strut into your life and heart. Just be prepared for the toy tornado! Come meet her at Little Dog Rescue, where big personalities come in small packages. * Thank you for your interest in adopting a dog from Little Dog Rescue. Our dogs come from a variety of sources and backgrounds. They are all in need of adopters that have patience, an understanding of where these dogs have come from, and that there will be an adjustment time when they transition into their forever home. This can include learning basic commands, walking on leash and potty training. Some dogs will pick up on your routine and expectations faster than others. Potty accidents will happen. We find that positive reinforcement, consistency, and routine from the adopter achieves the best results. We are a small, all volunteers team and give 100% of our efforts towards doing right by these pups. We are often juggling many responsibilities at the same time and do our very best to process inquiries and applications in a timely manner. We do prioritize inquiries that have a submitted application on file through the Little Dog Rescue website. We do our best to accurately assign breed designations, however we are unable to guarantee 100% accuracy. Sometimes we only have the dogs appearance to go on. Our adoption fees are thoughtfully considered. The adoption fee is not a purchase price for the dog. It is a fee that is designed to support the overall work of our rescue. Highly desirable dogs and puppies are intentionally listed with a higher adoption fee. This is done to help offset the enormous medical expenses we incur when taking in older pups and special needs medical dogs whose adoption fees do not come close to covering their expenses. In addition, the vast majority of our dogs are brought in from out of state and incur transport fees along with their medical and acquisition costs. We ask that you take all of these things into consideration, and we look forward to finding a great match for your family.

Click the button to download the adoption application. The application is a form-fillable pdf. Fill out the form, save it to your hard drive, then email back to sian@gingerspetrescue.org Hi!!  My name is Poppy from Korea and I am a wonderful approx. 5 year old female Papillon - Chihuahua mix.  I weigh about 9 lbs. and hoping to find a forever home.  I am friendly and was saved from an illegal Breeding Farm in South Korea.  I was rescued with many others by local activists from the horrific conditions we were in.  I fought to survive every day and was so badly neglected.  Korea kills an estimated 1.5 -2 million dogs a year to be eaten.  I just want a chance to be part of a family and for someone to love and care for me.  I am so lucky to get a one-way ticket to Seattle to find my new family.  Take me on car rides, walks in the park and I will become your best friend.  I get along well with people of all ages, gentle kids, and other dogs.  I will do best with a loving family that can give me lots of love and affection!  On all overseas adoption, we highly recommend our pet rescue dog trainer who will come to your home and help train your new pup.  My adoption fee of $1,395 will cover my spay/neuter, DA2PP shots, Rabies, Bordetella, Deworm, Heart Worm Test, Microchip, Boarding Fees, Health Certificate and airline transport cost from Korea to Seattle.  A GPS tracker or Apple AirTag is required for all adopted dogs. You can bring your own when adopting or you can purchase an AirTag from us.  The adoption fee is firm and helps save the life of another dog needing rescue and our other dogs in need of medical care.  We do not guarantee the breed and age of the dogs.  Donations are always appreciated to help pay down our vet bills at Greenwood Vet.  Ginger's Pet Rescue is a non-profit 501C-3 organization.  The adoption fee is donated to the rescue and is tax deductible.  Please e-mail at  admin@gingerspetrescue.org  for an adoption application.     April 27, 2024, 12:51 am
