Story
Rubix is a sweet, expressive pup with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He absolutely adores being held and talked to—he'll wrap his little paws around you and listen intently as if he's hanging on your every word. A total cuddle bug, Rubix loves sleeping in bed with his foster and the rest of the dog crew, making bedtime a full and cozy experience. Rubix does well with his foster’s dogs, including two females and a mellow male, but wasn’t too thrilled about a visiting intact male chihuahua (though that was before Rubix's own neuter). He hasn't had exposure to children, so we’re not sure how he’d respond, and he does seem to be more cautious around men. True to his opinionated nature, Rubix will definitely let you know if something is out of place—he's a vocal guy, especially when it comes to enemies like the vacuum or the hair dryer! He’s also a collector of soft treasures and has a fondness for stuffies, socks, slippers, and just about anything he can carry in his mouth (thankfully, he doesn’t chew them up!). Rubix is still working on potty training. He’s hasn’t quite figured out the bell method, but he refuses to go to the bathroom if he’s up on the bed—so that’s progress! His ideal home would be one that’s patient with training, willing to work with his quirks, and happy to receive all the cuddles this little guy has to offer. ----- Thank you for your interest in adopting a dog from Little Dog Rescue. Our dogs come from a variety of sources and backgrounds. They are all in need of adopters that have patience, an understanding of where these dogs have come from, and that there will be an adjustment time when they transition into their forever home. This can include learning basic commands, walking on leash and potty training. Some dogs will pick up on your routine and expectations faster than others. Potty accidents will happen. We find that positive reinforcement, consistency, and routine from the adopter achieves the best results. We are a small, all volunteers team and give 100% of our efforts towards doing right by these pups. We are often juggling many responsibilities at the same time and do our very best to process inquiries and applications in a timely manner. We do prioritize inquiries that have a submitted application on file through the Little Dog Rescue website. We do our best to accurately assign breed designations, however we are unable to guarantee 100% accuracy. Sometimes we only have the dogs appearance to go on. Our adoption fees are thoughtfully considered. The adoption fee is not a purchase price for the dog. It is a fee that is designed to support the overall work of our rescue. Highly desirable dogs and puppies are intentionally listed with a higher adoption fee. This is done to help offset the enormous medical expenses we incur when taking in older pups and special needs medical dogs whose adoption fees do not come close to covering their expenses. In addition, the vast majority of our dogs are brought in from out of state and incur transport fees along with their medical and acquisition costs. We ask that you take all of these things into consideration, and we look forward to finding a great match for your family.

This little powerhouse is such a ham! He is a confident young pup ready to go wherever and wherever you are going. He's ready to conquer the world with you provided you can take a cuddly nap a couple times a day. He loves people and dogs alike. He would love to have a furry friend in the house but could also do well as an only dog with regular meet ups and play dates. He's got a big personality packed into his little stout body. He's a good eater and is food motivated. Training should be easy with his favorite treats to help the learning process. He's working on his good boy manners and potty training. If you're looking for a little shadow with a big presence, this could be your guy!

Story
We have adopted Jackson when he was around 1 year old from a local pet adoption drive and took care of him ever since. He is very well behaved amd potty trained pet, we recently have a baby and he is not going well with this change. We tried our best to introduce him to the baby but he is not friendly towards the baby and is ahowing signs of aggression. Hence, we have no choice left but to rehome him where there are no kids. He is currently around 8 years of age and otherwise very well behaved dog. I am going to miss him but it’s needed for the best care of him and my baby.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Banjo – A Spirited Soul with a Story to Tell DOB: ~August 23, 2022 | Weight: 21.6 lbs | Adoption Fee: $400 Apply at: www.adoggie4you.org Look at that happy face—Banjo is a character through and through! This little guy is full of charm, always up for some time in the play yard, and never says no to attention from his favorite volunteers. He’s friendly, social, and has a big personality packed into a compact body. Banjo’s story hasn’t been an easy one. After being found on the streets and fully vetted by our team, we searched for his owners for months. Just as he was about to be adopted, his previous owners came forward. Sadly, a year later, Banjo was found on the streets again, and we were called to take him back into our care. His former owners, currently without stable housing, agreed it was best that Banjo find a safe, secure forever home. Due to past food insecurity, Banjo can be food-aggressive with other dogs. He’s shown no aggression toward people and does well with small dogs, but may be a bit pushy with larger ones. With a bit of patience and structure, Banjo has all the potential to thrive. Banjo is now safe, healthy, and ready for a brighter future. If you’re looking for a fun-loving companion who’s ready to be truly home for good, Banjo could be your perfect match. This dog is currently in Texas; however, it can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington KY or all along the East Coast. If transported, there is an additional transport fee of $225. We do not transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to their regulations.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 25, 2025, 2:38 pm

Story
Meet Hey, a one-year-old spayed female Poodle-Bichon mix with a soft cream coat and a heart ready to bloom. Weighing in at just 5kg, Hey was rescued from a breeding facility in Geoje and has come a long way since. Once fearful of people and unsure of human touch, she’s now blossoming with those who take the time to earn his trust. These days, she’ll happily take treats from your hand and even trot over to say hello once she feels comfortable. While she might run off when you try to pick her up, she doesn’t resist once he’s in your arms—she settles in calmly, making her a gentle cuddle buddy. She’s also wonderfully behaved for grooming and bath time. Hey is a total social butterfly when it comes to other dogs. She loves meeting new canine friends, no matter their size, and will often approach them with friendly tail wags and an invitation to play. Having another dog in the home would be a huge help in her adjustment to family life, especially since she’s never known life without doggy companionship. She hasn’t been tested with cats yet, but based on her easy-going nature, she may very well be able to live peacefully with feline friends too. With a moderate energy level, Hey enjoys the outdoors but knows how to relax and recharge afterwards. She’s currently learning how to walk on a leash—right now, she tends to freeze up when it’s clipped on, so she’ll need some patient guidance. She’s not possessive with food, whether it’s around people or other dogs, and is used to both indoor pee pad training and outdoor potty time. Because she’s never lived without other dogs around, she may experience some separation anxiety, and she does tend to bark a little when meeting unfamiliar people out of fear. But with love, time, and gentle encouragement, Hey has all the potential to grow into a confident and affectionate companion. All she needs is a patient family ready to cheer her on through this next chapter of her life. View more photos and videos on Facebook: Link to Post Does Hey sound like the right companion for you? Send in your application today here or through our website:adoptmekoreanrescue.org/adoption-application/ AKR dogs can arrive at Vancouver or Toronto airport and may be able to arrive at some US airports (Seattle, LA, NY, Boston, etc) where we have flight volunteers. Hi! My name is Grace, and I’m an adorable 7-year-old female Bichon Frise. I weigh about 8 lbs and am thrilled to be looking for my forever home! Despite my rough start, I’m sweet, loving, and ready to give my new family all my affection.  I am blind in one eye and limited vision in the other eye. I’m looking for a family who can offer me plenty of love and care, and I’d thrive in a home where I can get the attention and warmth I deserve. My adoption fee is $1,495 and includes: Spay/neuter DA2PP vaccinations Rabies and Bordetella shots Deworming Heartworm test Microchip Boarding fees Health certificate Airline transport costs A GPS tracker or Apple AirTag is required for all adopted dogs. You can bring your own or purchase an AirTag from us. Please note that we cannot guarantee exact age.
