Story
Hello, my name is Riot. I was surrendered by my owner who could no longer care for me. The nice people at Guardians of Florida Animal Rescue have been helping me become less scared and more sure of myself. During my time here, I received all of the general and medical care I needed to be ready for my forever home. I’ve learned to walk well on leash, sit, take treats gently and, most importantly, how to trust humans.I am almost 2 years old and weigh 20 lbs and my rescue was told I am a labradoodle. I am very gentle and sweet, but still quite shy. I would do best having another well-balanced dog in the home (I prefer females and am selective with other males - so bringing existing dogs to the meet and greet would be required).*** The rescue is currently looking for a family who has another dog.***Because of my past, I am a flight risk. I will not be able to go off leash outside- either in a yard or a dog park. I love going for walks though, so an owner who likes to go for walks is important to me. I am looking for someone who has patience and experience with fearful ( non aggressive) dogs.My $350 adoption fee includes vet exams, up to date vaccines, deworming, neuter, heartworm test (negative) and microchip - all already done. If you are interested in adopting me, please complete a free, non-binding application at www.gofar.dog under Adopt. If you encounter any issues with our website, please email adoptions@gofar.dog.If you have questions, email my rescue at adoptions@gofar.dog. Story
Adoption fee is FULLY WAIVED thanks to an anonymous donor!! Free, non-binding application must be submitted to secure an appointment at www.gofar.dog under "Adopt”!Hi, I'm Leia! I came to Guardians of Florida Animal Rescue from a rural shelter in Texas with my friend Luke, who was already adopted. I have now received the care I need to find a home of my own in Florida.I am a spunky girl who is FULL of energy! My ideal home would have active adults who want to include me in their activities (running partner, anyone???) My new family should not have young kids because I am so high-energy that I might accidentally knock them over. Adults and older kids would be okay, though.I am a lab mix of some sort, and will likely be about 50-ish pounds when I'm full grown... As of the beginning of August I am about 11 months old and weigh about 35 pounds. My adoption fee has been fully waived thanks to a generous sponsor! I am up to date on my vaccines, spayed, dewormed, and microchipped, heartworm negative, and ready to find my new home! If you encounter any issues with our website, please email adoptions@gofar.dog. If you'd like a running partner, please go to www.gofar.dog and complete an adoption application!
