Hi there, my name is Rocco! I am a beautiful big Lab mix breed looking for my perfect forever home with lots of love and kisses! I am 56 pounds of muscle, so I need a person that can handle my big personality. I am the star of the show and live in my own little world, so I need a home that can let me be the only pup and shine. I am a best boy at fetch, I will gladly retrieve any toy and bring it right back to you. I am a chatty fella, I love to tell everyone my opinions! I also LOVE water- if you have a kiddie pool, or even a hose I can play in at home, I would be the happiest boy! Please come visit me at GCHS!

Hi hi, my name is Lacey! I'm a lab mix and I weigh about 41 lbs. If you're active and you're looking for a dog to burn some energy with, I'm your gal! I need a family who can keep up with me, cause I am a confident girl and I am always on the move. I'm still working out the finer details of doggy manners, so someone who is experienced with dogs and training is ideal. I LOVE toys, so let's grab some and play! I'm a vocal gal, I will talk to everyone who comes to see me in my kennel! I need a family where I am the star of the show, so no other pets or kids please! Come see me at GCHS!

Story
Hi there, my name is Dean! I am an 84 pound Lab Shepherd Mix breed with a lot of spunk and personality. I have lived in the shelter system for over a year now, waiting for a perfect forever home. Being in a shelter for such a long time, I have already mastered tricks like "Sit" and "Paw". My large stature and goofy personality combined means I do not really know my own size, so I would be best in a home with older children specifically over 12. I am a big beautiful boy, loving and ready to give my perfect forever family the best companionship. If you have any four legged friends at home, I need to do a proper meet and greet with them so that we know we will get along properly. I would do best in a home without cats. Please come see me at GCHS!

Hi there, my name is Major. 83 pounds and full of energy, I am ready to be your best friend. I am a lab terrier mix breed with lots of love and affection to give. I am a chunky boy, and have lost a bunch of weight, but I need a home that will keep me slim and active. I am a very smart boy and highly food motivated, I will do just about whatever for a snack, including showing my masterful skills of "Sit" and "Paw". Got any kids at home? I am great with kids of all ages, all the way to the littlest size and would be the perfect family man. I love tennis balls and playing catch, they keep me very occupied. Story
Shadow fits the bill as a shy, quiet and sweet little girl. It is time for Shadow to fill a furever home with happiness. Here is a great description of Shadow from Jess, GCHS Volunteer Coordinator, who has spent lots of time with Shadow: "She would do best in a home with a confident adult dog(s). She LOVES playing with other dogs of all sizes - that is when her personality comes out & she shines. She needs a home that will be patient & loving while she learns to be a dog. Shadow is quiet and has not barked once since she's been in my office. I have not seen an ounce of aggression from her. She is even cooperative for her pawdicures." Your patience will bring out a treasure with Shadow!

Story
Shadow became mine at the passing of my friend for whom I was caregiver. I have never had an indoor dog before, and have found Shadow to be easy to care for, sweet, loving, and welcoming to friends. She is so excited to go out for walks and looks for her doggie and people friends, and loves to ride in the car. She sleeps most of the day, probably because she is about 14 years old, but you'd never know it when she is out for her walks as she trots along and is quite energetic. She is well-mannered and gets along well with other dogs. Shadow is completely housebroken and never makes a mess indoors. She has been a pleasure to care for, but recent events make it impossible for me to continue to care for her and provide her the home she deserves. I am looking for a new home for her with an individual or family that can give her the attention and love she needs.

Story
Alfie is a rescue dog. He’s about 5-6 years old. He’s very sweet, loyal, and lovable towards humans. He loves attention and would do best in a single dog home with a large yard. He tends to be reactive towards other dogs. I’ve had him for a year and a half and I don’t think he was ever on a leash prior to me. He does pull on the leash. Very well behaved indoors and loves to be pet and cuddled.

Story
Endicott is one of two great puppies who have an incredible story and finally arrived in the USA to find their forever home. Endicott is now the only puppy available for adoption. He was found along with his siblings starved, dehydrated, covered in scratches, and riddled with parasites in a Mexican beach town. A kind American nursed them back to health, taking them to the vet frequently, then obtained all necessary paperwork to fly them back to Florida. He is 5 months old, healthy, happy, UTD on all shots, neutered, and on NextGard heartworm and flea/tick prevention. Sweet and gentle, with the usual puppy energy, and quite low-maintenance. People always say mutts make the best pets and these two prove the point! He is working on his potty training and is eager to please. He comes when called, and sits on command. Well behaved in the car, and learning to walk on a leash. He loves to run and play, then collapse and nap. Endicott wants to be close to his people. He seems grateful for the second chance he has been given. As you can see from the photos he is a lab/terrier mix. Endicott (all black except for white toes) is also on the smaller side weighing about 30 lbs and he likely won't get much bigger. Adoption fee is $250.00

Story
Nellie (7 years old- 56LBS) is one of those dogs who is always super HAPPY. What ever you do she will follow you in the house. This what the foster has to say: Nellie is a sweet girl and very smart. Her history She is the only one who made it alive out of the 13th in the house) is not a kind one but but her trust in humans is strong. Crate trained, housebroken, we have our evening moment in the yard and she is good until morning, walks well on a leash. Has learned the puppy doors to get outside and some basic commands (I try to use hand signals and less voice). Vet said she is in perfect health. Shedding - not so much. Her routine is rather simple - morning pp - greenie treat - walk - feed me - nap time. Nellie is the perfect pet for a retired single or couple that want to have a furry companion that just wants to be loved and near you just like a shadow. She had a training lesson and did very well. Will come with an other one to adjust to her new home. Total sweetheart. if you want an easy dog who will love you forever Nellie is here for you. Please fill out the application online. Her adoption fee is $50.00- she is completely vetted.

Story
Jordan is under a year old- 22 LBS and is a great little one who was hit by a car and almost lost her leg. A note from her foster Mom Ruthie: Hi my name is Jordan the dog. Despite all the bad things that have happened to me, I'm a happy girl. The rescue picked me up from the pound when I had a broken leg and I couldn't use my leg at all. But now my leg is better, and I can use it and run and jump and play like I used to be able to do. I love my foster mom so much. All I want is to please her and do right by her and make her happy and be a good girl. I love all the attention and affection I can get from my foster mom and seek it out regularly. She tells me I'm a good girl and a smart girl all the time. I would do anything to protect my foster mom because I love her so much. I love my foster brother and sisters and their cats. I am a little shy and will warm up quickly. I'll love you too. I promise I'll be a good girl if you adopt me. I'm really looking forward to finding my forever family and my forever home. Please come meet me and consider adopting me. With love, from Jordan Her adoption fee is $290.00- Please remember she had surgery which was over 4K. If you are interested in adopting a very nice and sweet girl please fill out the application. Thanks for rescuing.
