Story
We have a 4 year old labradoodle we’re needing to rehome, Ringo. We’ve had behavior issues with him and have a baby on the way in about 5 weeks. Unfortunately, we don’t want to take any chances with a baby being brought into play. He is a great dog, very intelligent and aware. He can be grumpy in the mornings. He loves playing fetch, tug-a-war, and ear/butt scratches. He loves walking through your legs in the morning for his butt scratches. The best way to explain him is similar to a cat. Ringo wants to be messed with, when he does. He'll come to you when he wants pets and such. Overall is a great dog and very smart. We've had him since he was a puppy. We currently have him and a dalmadoodle as well. They typically play great together and get along, however I feel our dalmadoodle antagonizes him and Ringo likes to be left alone often. However, he loves attention in other ways and loves people/visitors. Ringo is very healthy and up-to-date on all vaccines/etc.

Story
Leroy is an estimated 2 years old and 17 pounds of sass. Leroy can easily get overstimulated and does not know how to settle himself down so needs a committed owner to work on training and giving him quiet time when he gets too excited. He will snap or nip when asking him to do something that he doesn't want to do and can be a resource guarder. An owner will need to work with him on positive reinforcement and rewarding him with high value treats to get him to see things your way. He does well with laid back dogs but does not tolerate them in his face. He needs an adult only quiet home that will give him the time he needs to be to become the dog we know he can be. Adoption Fee: $100Estimated Date of Birth: 1/29/22Intake Reason: Transferred from Peoria County Animal Protective Services, original intake owner surrender, no longer wantedAnimal will be spayed and up to date on vaccines, and microchipped prior to adoption. If their kennel card on display at TAPS shelter facility is marked as unaltered, the animal will be altered prior to being released for adoption. Animal stage may change from time to time based on surgery and medical status. TAPS strives to keep kennel cards as up to date as possible with current information but from time to time, information may change and a new kennel card may be pending. Full and current vaccination schedule and medical records along with any behavioral disclosures will be provided at time of adoption.

Story
Do you like to play fetch? I do! Jilly would loved a fenced in yard to run and play and a family to play fetch with. She initially came into Tazewell County Animal Control and was reportedly shut down. She has blossomed under their care but still shows a bit of her shy and timid side. We think with a family that fills her day with interactive play, belly rubs, and perhaps a pup cup or too, she'll become the happiest lab mix family member that you could ever meet! Jilly weighs in at 63 pounds and has the traditional body and head typical of a lab with slightly shorter legs than a traditional lab. She walks easy on leash. Leash Manners: Strong on leash, not disobedient just not trained. Basic Commands: Sit, drop, fetch Cat introduction in a controlled environment: Cat test in controlled environment - No real reaction just sniffed and ignored Good with dogs? Eligible for dog intro Special Notes: no know behavior issues Jilly weighs 63 poundsAdoption Fee: $100Estimated Date of Birth: UnknownIntake Reason: Transfer from Tazewell County Animal Control, original intake found strayAnimal will be spayed and up to date on vaccines, and microchipped prior to adoption. Story
Surfs Up has the appearance of being a lab/basset mix with the handsome good looks of a black lab and the short legs of a basset hound but that is a guess based on visual identification only.
