Story
Bash is almost 5 years old (turns 5 in August) and is an absolute sweetheart. He is in perfect health, well cared for, and fully trained. He gets along beautifully with other dogs and cats and has a gentle, loving nature. He was rescued from a puppy mill in Kentucky, so he can be a little timid around men at first—but with patience and kindness, he absolutely warms up and bonds deeply. Once he trusts you, he is loyal, affectionate, and so very special. I adopted Bashy nearly four years ago, during a very different chapter of my life. Since then, I’ve gone through a divorce and now travel frequently for work. He deserves more consistency, attention, and stability than I can give right now. During a recent snowstorm, I slipped while walking him and broke my shoulder in two places. I’m currently in a sling, and my mom has graciously taken him in while I heal. Letting him go will break my heart—but loving him means putting his needs first. Please contact me for more details.

Story
Wibble is a 7 month old 44 pound fixed male Lab Mix. He came in as a stray so we don't know much about him. He is your typical puppy that will need a family who is willing to put in the hard work to teach him to be a well-mannered adult. He has been found to be friendly with cats, dogs, and children. This animal is already spayed or neutered and their adoption fee is free. All dogs receive at least 1 distemper/parvo and Bordetella vaccine. If possible a heartworm test will be done and if negative the dog will be started on heartworm prevention. All animals receive a flea and parasite prevention/treatment and will be microchipped. All animals can go home the same day as adoption. We will need your photo ID and you will sign some documents. Adopters will also receive a copy of the animal's medical history to date. We do not do an application process. All adoptions are first come, first serve. We do not offer holds. We do not require in most cases that adopters bring all their families members and dogs for a meet and greet. But we do highly encourage it. We are happy to introduce the new dog to your dog(s) at the shelter. No appointment necessary. We do offer home trials of dogs over 6 months of age for about a week. You will not need to pay the adoption fee (spay neuter deposit) ahead of time, but if you decide to adopt you will need to return to the shelter to complete the paperwork and pay the adoption deposit. If you do not wish to complete the adoption, you can bring the dog back at any time during normal business hours during your home trial period. We do not allow after hours drop off.

Story
Bruce is a 1 year old 53 pound fixed male Lab mix. Owner surrendered due to high energy. The owner reported he loved the grandkids, played with kittens, and chihuahuas. He is a very strong puller on the leash, so still needs to learn his leash manners. Can be anxious on car rides. He was being potty trained to alert his owner, but this doesn't seem to work for him. He will most likely respond better to a potty schedule instead. He can be an escape artist with crates and be noisy. So there is some seperation anxiety when left alone. The owners moved from a country setting to an apartment setting recently, so it is suggestive that an apartment lifestyle isn't his jam. His favorite toys are the hard plastic ones from Bark. Story
Willie is one of the four six-month-old Labrador retriever mixes. is somewhat shy, but he is learning to be more confident. He uses his brothers confidence to help him. Once he is up and moving around, he loves to roughhouse with the older dog, Boss. He would do well with a confident dog in the home to teach him how to be confident.
