Consider the lifestyle change this puppy will come with. He cannot be crated for more than 3-4 hours at a time until he’s older. Puppy-proofing your home will be necessary. Puppies scratch and nip, so if you have small children, can they handle this? Training will be so important in this puppy’s life. Do you have the time? Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter, heart worm test if applicable) microchip, worming and flea/tick/heart worm (if applicable) preventatives. Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.

Cholula came to us as a stray, so we don’t know much about her past or how she is with dogs, cats, or children. Any introductions to resident pets should be done slowly and thoughtfully.What we do know is that this girl loves to have fun! Cholula especially enjoys playing in the water and would happily spend time splashing around whenever she gets the chance. She also has plenty of energy to burn. A home with a nice, secure backyard would be a great place for her to run, explore, sniff out all the interesting smells, and play with her favorite toys.Don’t let all that energy fool you—Cholula has a softer side, too! Once she’s done running around and investigating the world, she loves being close to her humans. In fact, Cholula seems to think she is a lap dog!
