Story
Oliver has come a long way since coming to Heartland! He was initially found roaming a campground in Kentucky with what seemed to be 5 siblings. When he first arrived he was very scared and hid. Now, Oliver is an affectionate boy and thrives on connection and attention. If you’re looking for a dog who will happily soak up all your love Oliver is your guy. He would do best in a home with a fenced yard where he can explore, play, and enjoy fresh air safely.   Oliver is currently working on potty training and making progress each day. It's clear he hasn't spent much time in a home, so he had to start from scratch! He’s a smart boy who’s already picked up on routine like knowing exactly where the door is to head back inside after a walk!    While he’s not very food-motivated, he responds best to affection based training, making praise, pets, and love as his biggest rewards.   Oliver now loves being the center of attention and will continue building confidence. Abby is a 4 year old mixed breed that came in recently with her sister. She was listed as a doodle but we definitely see some Schnauzer-like features. She does shed, so she is not hypoallergenic.  Abby is a happy, people loving girl who brings energy and affection wherever she goes. She gets excited to meet her humans, so excited that she might greet you with a joyful jump or two! Abby thrives on connection and loves being close whether that’s hanging out by your side or soaking up all the attention you’re willing to give. She’s a strong girl on the leash, so she’ll do best with someone who can confidently handle her strength and continue working with her on leash manners. With a little guidance, she’ll make a great walking companion. Abby isn’t a fan of being left alone for long periods. she truly bonds with her people She wants to be part of the action. She’s looking for a home where she can be included, loved, and given plenty of companionship. Abby loves other dogs, and is good with cats and kids! Ruby is a sweet, energetic girl. She is always on the go and wants you right there with her. She loves to jump and gets the zoomies. She loves kids, but with her size and energy level she would do best with older or dog savvy children. When she is ready for a break, she likes to cuddle up for lots of pets. She would do great with a high energy playmate and would benefit from some basic obedience training. Diesel is a large-size 4-year-old black Lab mix who weighs 61 pounds. Diesel can be very nervous and unsure in new situations; he tends to shut down when he's uncomfortable and it took our staff a lot of time and patience to gain his trust. Diesel tends to prefer women over men but has had good interactions recently with male staff members. Diesel would thrive in a home with a patient, understanding adopter who can help him overcome his insecurities. He has made solid bonds with his human friends at PCAS and hopes that his future family will be willing to take things at his pace. Diesel will require a home without other pets in order to set him up for success. He has previously lived with children and was said to do well, though! He was tested for heartworms and Lyme and was negative for both. Diesel will be neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated before leaving for his forever home.

Meet Jarvis! This 3-year-old, 57 lb Lab mix is all about energy, love, and fun. If you’re looking for a buddy who’s always up for an adventure and equally happy soaking up affection, Jarvis might just be your guy. He’s super friendly, loves people, and is enjoying every bit of attention he gets here. We’re still getting to know him, but so far we think Jarvis would shine brightest as the only dog in the home—where he can soak up all the love for himself! Jarvis has already been tested for heartworms and Lyme—both came back negative, great news for his future family! Before heading off to his forever home, he’ll also be neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated.
