Crate Trained: No. He will not enter a crate willingly and gets anxious when led into one. His anxiety manifests in incessant barking when left alone, but if he's loose, he will pace, run from door to window, and scratch at the door. A crate will ensure he cannot harm himself. Good in the Car: Yes, he loves his car rides. Good on a Leash: Yes, but he can pull if he sees something he wants. Energy Level: High - he is a lab mix after all. Need a Fenced-in Yard: Yes. Dog Friendly: Slow intros required. Blue isn't the kind of dog that likes it when another dog comes on too strong. He prefers a slow and steady build-up to friendship. If yes, does your foster need another dog in its adoptive home? No, he does not need another dog. I think he is a one-dog-per-home kind of dude. Cat Friendly: No. Kid Friendly: Yes, with proper, slow introductions. If yes, what's the youngest child you'd recommend they be placed with? Blue will do best with kids 10 years and older or children dog-savvy enough to give him his space and not get too hyper with him. If you're looking for a little "chocolate" in time for Valentine's Day - or a sweet treat any day of the year - Eloise may be the perfect match. This beautiful chocolate lab mix came to us as a stray and was not reclaimed, but she's more than ready to walk her way into a loving home of her own.Eloise is gentle, medium energy girl who enjoys companionship and steady affection. She is showing us that she does enjoy playing but can easily calm down for cuddles.  Also her stunning golden eyes and soft expression make her truly unique, and her 58 pounds of love are matched by an easygoing personality that fits well into many types of homes. We feel she would be best in a home with older children, as she can accidentally knock over small kids trying to give them love.Update: Sadly, her original bio was written around Valentine's day, and here we still are, months later, and Eloise is still searching for her family.Eloise has been in foster at The Dog Company learning to be the best girl!  She knows all basic commands. What could be better then an already trained dog?She also is crate trained, walks wonderfully on a leash, and continues to socialize with dogs.  We're thinking probably no cats for her, but would test her again if someone with a cat home really wanted her.  Overall she is an relatively easy dog and would have an easy transition to a home.
