He’s the kind of dog who doesn’t need to steal the spotlight, he simply wins hearts by being kind and loving. Socks gets along great with other dogs and will happily share the love. Socks doesn’t need much… just an adopter who realizes what a great dog he is. Could that be you? Apply today and come meet Socks, you won't regret taking a chance on this sweetheart! Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.    Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSPONSOR ME! Help Save Lives!    Make a tax-deductible donation today and help save a life. Story
Hi, I’m Blaze! I’m a 1-year-old, 47-lb black and white labradoodle boy, with a big heart and an even bigger smile. I’m up to date on all my vaccines, neutered, and ready for cuddles. I’m a loveable goofball — playful, curious, and cuddly all in one! I love being in your lap and getting a good ear scratch just as much as I love a fun game of tug. I do great with dogs and cats (I might bark at cats at first — they’re so interesting! — but once they come close, I’m totally chill). I’d fit perfectly with a family that has older kids (8+ would be ideal). Another great thing about me... I’m making good progress with house training! I’m about 70% of the way there, but I still need someone who can keep up with my routine and continue my training. I’m a smart boy and learning quickly — I just need consistency and patience as I finish getting the hang of it. I’m also still working on my leash manners and can get nervous around cars or bark a little when I see other dogs on walks, but once I get a good sniff, I settle right in.   If you’re looking for a sweet, curious, and slightly silly companion with a brave heart and a healing paw, I’d love to meet you. ##2572237##
