Story
Bear is a 14-week-old Mountain Cur / Labradoodle mix with a scruffy black coat and an attentive, steady personality. He is the most watchful of the group and naturally stays close to his people, always keeping an eye on what’s going on. Bear has a calm presence and already shows the makings of a loyal, best-friend kind of dog. He does well with kids, other dogs, and has been around cats comfortably. Bear is working on potty training and is adjusting nicely to daily routines in the home. He settles quickly after playtime and enjoys simply being near his people. Bear came from an overpopulation situation in Kentucky with his siblings and is learning what it means to feel safe and loved. He would do best in a home looking for a steady companion and loyal family dog. Story
Birdie is a 14-week-old Mountain Cur / Labradoodle mix with a beautiful brown coat and a big personality packed into a little body. She’s the adventurous one of the group — playful, curious, and always ready to explore. Birdie loves people and happily keeps up with her brothers during playtime, but she’s also perfectly content hanging out nearby once the excitement settles. She’s especially fond of people and will happily follow you around the kitchen like a little shadow. She does great with kids, other dogs, and has been around cats without much interest. Birdie is already doing well with potty training and is comfortable in a crate, which makes her an easy addition to a home ready for puppyhood. Birdie came from an overpopulation situation in Kentucky with her siblings, and she’s quickly learning what it means to feel safe and loved. She would love an active home that enjoys playtime and adventure. Story
Ajax is a 14-week-old Mountain Cur / Labradoodle mix with a soft tan coat and a gentle, affectionate personality. He’s the sweetest, most sensitive boy of the group and is happiest when he’s close to his people. Ajax tends to step back from the rough play with his siblings and would much rather snuggle up next to you and relax. He does well with kids, other dogs, and has been around cats without much interest. Ajax is working on potty training and is still learning to feel comfortable in a crate, but he’s making progress every day with patience and reassurance. Ajax came from an overpopulation situation in Kentucky with his siblings and is learning what it means to feel safe and loved. He would do best in a calm, patient home that appreciates a gentle, affectionate companion. Story
I’m looking for help finding a new home for my 10-year-old black lab, Sage. This is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to write, but my priority has to be my two-year-old. My dog is incredibly sweet, affectionate, and people-loving — he adores adults and has the energy and personality of a much younger dog. Unfortunately, he has become increasingly uncomfortable around toddlers, and despite a lot of time and effort, it’s clear that a home with very young children isn’t the right environment for him. He would thrive in a calm, adult home or with older kids who understand dog boundaries. I want him to go to someone who can give him the peaceful, loving life he deserves.
