Story
Dolly was adopted from the Polk County Humane Society. We've had her for about 2 months but my wife and 15 month old daughter have both tested positive for an allergy to Dolly. She's a great, well natured dog and does great with out little girl. Unfortunately she just makes her little skin break out. Dolly is 8 days older than our daughter according to her records. Almost 16 months.We'd love to see her somewhere she gets lots of attention, room to play (we have a good sized back yard) and lots of pets. She's a mild barker. Really only barks playfully with our neighbor's dog. Never inside at guests or at the door. We were told she gave birth to a litter of puppies at 9 months old. I believe this gave her a great maternal instinct. She is very good with babies and toddlers. We would have loved for this relationship to workout and for our house to be her forever home but due to the allergies, we have to say good bye. She will be missed.

Story
Hi, I'm Goldie. I know I'm black, but don't let that fool you. I am a golden doodle - a mix of a golden retreiver and a poodle. And, I have the sweet personality and smarts to prove it. I'll be the best dog of a lifetime for the lucky person who adopts me. I just weaned my 9 puppies and I'm still young myself. So, I'm ready to be moving on. I'm scheduled to be spayed on Friday, August 14. I can be pre-adopted or go into foster-to-adopt in the meantime. If you're interested in adopting me, please fill out an application at www.polkcountyhumanesociety.org/adopt. You can also reserve an appointment to meet me. Some pets are in foster homes or may already have visits scheduled, so appointments help ensure I’ll be available. Polk County Humane Society is located in Bolivar, Missouri, and we welcome adopters from any state. We have access to a transport to Aurora, CO. Other outofstate adopters either travel to Missouri or arrange & pay for air transport. Virtual meetandgreets are available on the appointment request. ##2780676##
