Bucky was surrendered to us because his owner unfortunately passed away. The people who took him in had cats, and Bucky didn't get along with them.Bucky is a male Labradoodle mix, 3 years old, neutered, microchipped and up to date on all his vaccines, Bucky graduated from the Puppies for Parole program at the Jefferson City Correctional Center in June 2026. According to his handler at Puppies for Parole, he loves to play, but not rough. He loves treats and toys. It can take a little while for him to warm up to you, but once he knows he can trust you, he'll be your best friend. He also walks well on a leash and responds to commands: no, leave it, drop it and off. Bucky does enjoy sniffing around the play yard and soaking up the sun. Meet Lacey! Lacey is a beautiful 6-year-old purebred Labradoodle with a heart as soft as her curls. After spending much of her life being used for breeding, Lacey found herself needing a new home when her owners no longer wanted her. She was lovingly taken in by a friend, but due to circumstances beyond their control, they are no longer able to keep her. Despite all the changes she's experienced, Lacey remains one of the sweetest dogs you'll ever meet. She loves nothing more than being close to her people. Lacey will happily sit right beside you—preferably with your hand resting on her. If the petting stops, she'll gently remind you that your job isn't quite finished yet by setting her paw on you. Lacey has a calm, affectionate personality and enjoys simply being near those she loves. She's looking for a family who will cherish her for the wonderful companion she is and give her the forever home she deserves.

Hi, I'm Ace. I was found abandoned with three of my siblings on Woodbine and Cook Road in St. Joseph, Missouri. Someone called the shelter and although it took a while, we were finally rescued. We had no idea we needed rescuing. We thought we were all playing a fun game. We are all fun-loving, friendly, and ready to find our new homes. We'd make great family pets or do well one-on-one with you. We are bound to go fast so don't think about it too long; let's start the rest of our lives together!
