💙 Meet Buck (D-6417) 💙 With tears in their eyes, Buck’s family brought him to the shelter due to circumstances completely beyond his control. Sometimes life changes, even when love is still there. Buck is a 1-year-old Lab/Pointer/Something mix with a heart as big as his paws. His previous family had nothing but wonderful things to say about him. Buck thinks every living creature was put on this earth to be his best friend. Dogs? Loves them. Cats? Yep. Horses? Absolutely. People of all ages? Without question. But children? They are his FAVORITE. His family shared that Buck naturally watches over kids. If other dogs get too rowdy around a child, Buck will calmly place himself between them like a gentle bodyguard, making sure nobody gets knocked over like pins at a bowling alley. Now, despite the “Lab” in his mix, Buck would like everyone to know he did NOT receive the water-loving gene package. Pools, sprinklers, lakes? Hard pass. But the happy, goofy, affectionate Lab personality? Fully included. As for fetch… Buck’s version is more: “You throw the ball, I’ll chase it, and then I’ll proudly show you where it landed.” One thing Buck is absolutely serious about? CAR RIDES. Say “load up,” and this boy is in the vehicle faster than a speeding bullet. If you’re looking for a sweet, silly, lovable, slightly squirrely best friend who will keep you smiling every day, Buck is here. 🐾
