He was severely matted and had to be completely shaved down. he is a little nervous when you first meet him but warms up quickly. He is craving attention and guidance. He needs to learn a few manners but is basically a good boy . He has been checked over by our vet and is healthy and happy. He has playful energy but can also calm down and relax. He needs someone who will spend some time with him and let him know that he is loved. He is house trained. He is not crate trained. He lived with children and was great with them. He does well with other dogs. He is up to date on shots and wormed. He is heartworm negative. He is already neutered. The adoption fee is $400. This handsome smoke show is Aero!Aero has been hanging out with us since last autumn and we aren't quite sure why! Aero is a super sweet boy with so much love to give. He is extremely affectionate and bonds closely with his humans. If you're in the market for a cuddle companion- he could be your dude!Not only is he very loving, he's also very smart! Aero knows most of his basic commands and is a smart cookie. He behaves well out in a fenced yard, does great on a tie-out, and walks well on a leash (but does walk better in a harness or harness lead!). Aero consistently keeps a clean kennel and we were told he did well in the house when he went on a home trial. Aero's only "quirk" is that he would need to go to a home as the only pet. He could potentially meet other dogs once he's settled and comfortable, but he has been very reactive here in the shelter environment. In his leisure time, Aero enjoys laying out in the sunshine or chasing a ball around. He has been on walks back at Oxbow Lake and has proven to be a water lover (like most Lab/mixes!)! If you're a Labrador lover, you're in luck! This blonde bombshell is Tonya!Tonya and her buddy Tori (also available!) were found as strays and were never reclaimed by their family. They are possibly littermates and are estimated to be a little younger than a year old. Because she's still a pup, Tonya is fairly energetic and will need a little brushing up on training. She LOVES to go on walks with the volunteers and enjoys any one-on-one time she gets with the humans. Be warned, Tonya has been known to cut her walks short and would rather roll around in the grass and be princess-carried back to the shelter. She does really well with other dogs and would likely thrive in a home with a middle-aged dog to help show her the ropes. Tonya did briefly meet our office cats (who can be less than welcoming to dogs!) and did show a little reactivity. She will likely need worked with and have a few slow introductions to any potential feline siblings. There isn't a human that Tonya doesn't love, so joining a home with children isn't too much of a concern. This pretty Lab girl is truly the whole package and is going to grow into the perfect girl. Whoever ends up adopting her is going to have many years with a wonderful companion. **Spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative, and up-to-date on vaccines & monthly prevention.
