Story
Freddy is the definition of a gentle soul. He's incredibly sweet, patient, and happiest when he's by your side soaking up all the love and attention you can give. Whether he's making you laugh with his goofy antics, enjoying an energetic play session, or trying to convince you he's small enough to fit in your lap, Freddy is guaranteed to bring joy to your home. He's a smart boy who already knows commands like "sit" and "crate," and he follows directions very well. He loves walks, car rides, meeting new people, and spending time with other dogs. To Freddy, everyone is a friend-he truly has never met a stranger! Freddy's past wasn't kind. He was found abandoned on a dirt road in South Georgia during the hottest part of the summer, left to fend for himself. He also has signs of past abuse and of being confined in a kennel that was far too small for him. Despite everything he's endured, Freddy has remained loving, trusting, and eager to connect with people. Because of this difficult past, Freddy feels safest when he's with his people. He can become anxious if left alone for long periods or if he can't see you, so he'll thrive with a family that can offer companionship, patience, and reassurance as he continues to build his confidence. Freddy has shown himself to be wonderful with new dogs and new people alike. All he wants is a second chance-a family to love, a soft place to rest, and someone who will never give up on him again. If you're looking for a loyal best friend with a huge heart, Freddy is ready to spend the rest of his life loving you. Good with women: yes Good with men: yes Good with kids: yes Good with other dogs: yes Good with cats: yes House trained: yes Crate trained: yes Energy level: medium Can be handled/touched: yes Barker: no Flight risk: no; however, all dogs should be considered flight risks in new environments Food aggressive: He will eat from your hand, but needs to eat away from other dogs. He doesn't growl, but if the other dog doesn't move away from the food, Freddy will show aggressive behavior. He was starving when found so this is to be expected. Current food: Iams puppy Walks on leash: yes Leash reactive to people or dogs: no Rides well in car: yes Destructive: no Needs a home with a yard: yes Needs a home with another dog: no Can live in an apartment: not ideal Please visit our website niagaradogrescue.com to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs.

Story
* Adoption fee is for both dogs Meet Cole & Bear Age: 7 years
Breed: Poodles
Weight: Approximately 12 lbs
Location: Fostered in Richmond Hill Cole and Bear are two adorable brothers who have spent their entire lives together, and it shows. They are incredibly sweet, affectionate boys who have been wonderful with every person they have met. These handsome boys were very much loved by their previous owner, a senior who sadly experienced health issues and could no longer care for them. It is clear from their gentle nature, wonderful manners, and trusting personalities just how cherished they have always been. Our hope is to find them another loving family who will treasure them just as much. Cole and Bear are Poodles, they are non-shedding, making them a great choice for many families. As with all Poodles, they will require regular professional grooming to keep their coats healthy and looking their best. They are both fully house-trained, walk beautifully on leash, and have excellent house manners. They don't make a mess or chew on anything around the home, making them easy companions to have around. They have happily lived with both cats and other dogs and have been wonderful companions. They are not overly barky, but they will let you know when someone is at the door—just enough to announce that you have a visitor. Because these boys have been together their entire lives, we would ideally love to keep them together. We know finding a home for a bonded pair can take a little longer, but they deserve the chance to stay side by side, and we are happy to be patient while we wait for the right family. If you're looking for two loving, loyal companions to share your life with, Cole and Bear are ready to fill your home with twice the love, twice the cuddles, and twice the happiness! ************* As my foster family gets to know me my profile can change and will be updated accordingly. Check back often for details! An application for me can be found at www.justpaws.ca. Just Paws is located in the Greater Toronto Area of Ontario, Canada. We do not adopt out of province or country. Please note that although many of our dogs get along with children, we are not able to adopt to any household with kids under the age of 8 years old. This is a stipulation of our insurance and is not a reflection on suitability of the potential adopter.
