Story
🖤 Meet Homer 🖤 If you’re looking for a dog who will make you laugh, keep you active, and love you with his whole heart, Homer may just be your guy. Homer is a roughly 9-month-old neutered male with a sleek black coat, subtle brindle markings, and the cutest ears that give him endless character. Seriously… his ears deserve their own fan club. This handsome boy was found as a stray here in Moose Jaw, and sadly, no one came looking for him. While we may not know much about Homer’s past, we do know he was shown some love along the way. He already knows how to sit and has great manners around other dogs, proving someone took the time to teach him a few important things. Homer is the perfect mix of silly and sweet. He loves to burn off some energy with a few zoomies, then happily settles in for what he loves most—people. And when we say Homer loves people, we mean LOVES people. This boy will do just about anything for a little extra attention, affection, and a few more pets. Homer is looking for a family ready to continue his training, give him plenty of exercise, and shower him with the love he so clearly craves. In return, he’ll give you endless smiles, laughs, and loyalty. Homer’s adoption fee is $300. He is neutered, started on his vaccination schedule, microchipped, and dewormed. If you’re interested in adopting Homer, please visit MJHS website, find his adorable face, and fill out an application. Once your application is reviewed, we will be in touch to arrange some time for you to come meet this sweet boy. 🐾

Story
🐾 Meet Reggie 🐾 Looking for: A family who loves big dogs, big smiles, and even bigger hearts. Hi there! My name is Reggie, and I'm a 4½-year-old neutered male Black Lab mix with a story to tell and a whole lot of love left to give. Let's address the elephant in the room—or perhaps the Labrador in the room. Yes, my nose looks a little different. Before coming to the shelter, I suffered severe frostbite that caused me to lose part of my nose, damaged my ears, and cost me a couple of toes. It doesn't slow me down one bit, but my future family deserves to know why I look a little unique. These days, those scars are just part of what makes me, well... me. And what am I? I'm one of the happiest dogs you'll ever meet. I love people. All people. Kids, adults, seniors—if you've got hands for petting and a kind heart, we're probably going to be best friends. I get along well with other dogs, I'm good with cats, and I would fit into just about any family willing to give me a chance. Now, I do have one important goal I'm working toward: getting healthier. I've packed on a few extra pounds over the years, and my new family will need to help me stick to a healthy diet and a gradual exercise plan. Think less "all-you-can-eat buffet" and more "summer fitness challenge." With consistency, patience, and a little determination, I can get back to a healthier weight and enjoy many happy years ahead. What you'll get in return is a loyal companion, a professional tail-wagger, and a dog who greets every day with enthusiasm and joy. Sometimes life leaves its marks on us. Mine just happen to be visible. But if you look past my scars, you'll find a dog whose spirit was never broken and whose heart is as big as ever. ❤️ Reggie's adoption fee is $300. He is neutered, microchipped, and started on his vaccination schedule. To meet Reggie, contact the Moose Jaw Humane Society and discover why everyone who meets him falls in love. 🐾❤️
