Meet MaCherie (French for “My Darling”) — and once you know her, you’ll understand how perfectly her name fits.
MaCherie is a happy, affectionate young dog who forms deep, meaningful bonds with her people. She can be timid in new situations, but she truly wants to connect. Give her a little time, and she blossoms into a devoted companion who loves being part of the action and staying close to her person. She’ll happily follow you from room to room, just to see what you’re up to.
She’s the best mix of playful and calm. MaCherie enjoys toys, chewing on bones, training with treats, and getting her energy out in the yard or on walks — and then she’s perfectly content to curl up nearby and snooze, preferably with her head resting on your foot.
About MaCherie:
- Female, spayed, ~48 lbs, excellent health
- Shy at first, then very people-focused and affectionate

- Respectful of boundaries — stays off furniture (except her beloved porch futon)

- May coexist with the right dog after slow, structured introductions
MaCherie will thrive in an active, but not chaotic home where she can be included and gain confidence at her own pace. She is not a good fit for homes with cats due to her strong prey drive, or small children due to her strength and enthusiasm.
She’s looking for a canine savvy, patient adopter who enjoys training and working with an intelligent, athletic rescue dog. MaCherie genuinely wants to do the right thing and looks to her person for guidance — when she bonds with you, she gives her whole heart.
Give her time, a little training, and a sunny spot to lounge, and MaCherie will reward you with unwavering loyalty and love.
