NOT 1 APPLICATION... How? Please share to help Joe. Someone wneeds to give him a chance. They will see this loving, goofy boy who is just scared to be hurt again. Imagine being Joe... Once in a home then the next minute in a highly rural shelter. Then almost a year later, yes a year, you are still in foster care!! Unfortunately a few foster homes since no one ever plans on fostering for that long...so you go where you are asked to go. Not 1 application. Not 1 click on petfinder. Still searching for love & his human A YEAR LATER. at the photos!!!!! Joe is who he is. He would rather sunbathe for hours and tan his golden skin than do any type of crazy leash activity, like walking!! Joe is just that dog who is amazing in a house, and one with a backyard. He's just unsure of the world when he goes outside (and in a way we can't blame him). He's a homebody. He's good with dogs. He will flinch if you pet him sometimes. He is who he is which is a big cuddle bear with a tongue that hangs out every chance it can. He's crate trained. He just is leash reactive but with a patient home, that could change. Who is a good match? - A retiree - A stay at home couple - A person who needs a companion to be home with - A home with a fenced in yard Apply to adopt rosierescue.org

Story
Isn't she lovely Noel our 6-month-pup is here and we are the blessed ones to have saved her, as her life was worth it a million times over. Noel has endured so much in such her short life. This sweet pup arrived at a rural shelter with a fracture so bad, she was likely hit by a car. Given her age and the break, the decision was made to amputate her back leg. While that is a terrible past to have experienced, this girl is SO resilient and happy, she is a true testament to a lesson for us all. From her foster: "Noel is about as sweet as they come, a very happy puppy. She does not let her setback get in her way of doing all things that dogs do - running, playing, jumping. She is very submissive and loves to be with her human. She has quickly adapted to her three foster dog and cat siblings and loves to play with all of them. She is just the right amount of energy and loves to chill when it's time to chill. Noel is potty, trained and crate trained. BONUS!!!! Recap: - Dog friendly - Cat friendly - Kid friendly - Fully vetted - And ready to go!! Noel is ready for a home to call her own. To adopt, fill out an application at rosierescue.org.

Name: HUSHPUPPY Gender: Female Estimated Age: 3yrs Estimated Weight: 43lbs Hushpuppy is a very loving girl, she wants to be by your side constantly. She loves to cuddle in bed with her legs up in the air. She does well with small dogs and cats. The current foster has very confident cats who don't run at the sight of a dog, however, if the cats do get the zoomies Hushpuppy does get a bit excited and try to chase. So would do best in a home with chill and confident cats. She likes to play and would benefit from a dog her size to play with. She is very very smart and is eager to please, just needs more time and intentional training. She would do best with a household who is home majority of the time. Hushpuppy does well on a leash! Very chill, with little to no pulling.

Meet Drew Been in foster for a few months. Gained weight. Healthy. Safe. Happy. Loving. Sweet. A Cuddle Bug. DESPITE it all, this is Drew. He doesn't bark, he's incredibly happy doing whatever his people are doing. LOVES other dogs, enjoys a warm bath (has to be removed from it ), has incredible recall. Doesn't bother cats. Walks right with his people without a leash. Loves his crate. When he gets left outside, he just lies down and hangs out until someone lets him in. He really is the perfect dog. He's come SUCH a long way from day one. A truly remarkable, loving soul. Are you his human? Meet him. rosierescue.org

Callie loves her toys, snuggling, and chewing (ha puppy vibes!). It takes a while for her to warm up to people, but once she does, she's a super sweet, cuddly, and loving girl. Callie needs a home that is patient and has experience with shy / reserve dogs. She is fully potty trained and sleeps well in her crate at night. Callie would do best with a fenced in yard and with other dogs who can show her the ropes. She's a sweet girl who, with time and training, has great potential to be someone's forever companion. Her fosters have done incredible but it's time for her to fly. 45lbs / 9 months / fully vetted. Adopt: rosierescue.org

He's either buzzing like a bee, or trying out to play Buzz Lightyear in the next Disney movie yet all that matters is that he is LOVING life after being saved from an urgent list in a rural shelter. He honestly doesn't know what to make of the Lowcountry and how cool it is within the first week of being here. He's described as the dog who will MAKE YOU LAUGH, IS A GREAT COMPANION & HAPPY!! Report card 1.5 years old and 46 pounds!! Perfect size for any living style. Great with dogs and kids. Super playful fun loving personality (so hard not to get attached!). Potty and crate trained! Good at sitting on command. He is all around very smart so he can definitely be trained easily. Fully vetted & ready to go. His foster says "He's so worth it. Buzz is low heartworm positive, he is currently being treated for this. This is NOT transferable. This does mean keeping his energy level fairly low (no high cardio activities for a little while). All of that is covered by our rescue until he is heartworm negative.

Meet Neville! This sweet man came to us from our rural shelter partner after being found wandering as a stray back in January behind a dollar general. Sweet boy spent some time in the shelter with absolutley zero interest. Neville then caught a cold and was not able to leave for two weeks while he recovered. THANKFULLY, his time came and we busted this sweet boy out of the shelter. Neville is an incredible boy and we were drawn to him from day 1. He was SO sweet in his kennel and waited patiently for anyone to show him love. Once he got it, the kisses were almost non stop. Neville does really well with other dogs- especially females! He loves the ladies. He has not been cat tested at this time so would need slow proper intros with any little furry friends. Neville is house trained and does great in his crate! He is heartworm negative, neutered, and up to date on his vaccinations. Neville is SO ready to leave the shelter life behind him and start fresh! We know adventure awaits and we can't wait to see this boy experience the beach, pup cups, and so many more things life has to offer! We sure know this sweet boy deserves it. Story
Meet UNO! This sweet little boy was in our rural shelter partner- visibly in need of medical care. We couldn't turn a blind eye and knew we had to help. So we packed his little bags and busted him out! Uno is an adorable little 8 week old lab mix of some kind. Uno was involved in some type of traumatic event and has a bum eye. He also has some injuries to his jaw which are being addressed by our veterinarian. Uno is a super sweet little man who is ready to heal and become the absolutle best version of himself. In the meantime this cutie is looking for a foster! He is great with dogs, cats and kids! Uno LOVES to play with other puppies and his injuries do not hinder him in the slightest. If anything were trying to keep him calm so he can heal faster!

Story
"Nala is a sweet, approximately 48lbs, and 11-12 month old. BONUS she is crate trained. She is very active and loves to run and play. She loves to play with toys and play fetch. She has lived with cats and dogs both. She's lived with a bird but we must say, no birds. She walks fairly well on a leash but could use more work on it. She's very smart and learns quickly. She likes to chase anything that moves in the backyard, especially the squirrels. Nala will make someone an awesome new member of the family because she loves everyone. She is naturally good at recall and comes when you call or or make clicking or kissy sounds. She knows sit. She is also superb at the sit and wait command when I put her food bowl down, and she won't move until I say ok. Nala is fully vetted and has been through so so much in her short time that she needs a family who will give her patience and time to adjust. Want to meet her? Want to foster to adopt?
