Story
BLOSSOM is a tripod (front leg amputee). Blossom is a sweet, intelligent, affectionate girl who had a rough beginning in her life. She was found along a country road dragging a mangled front leg which ultimately had to be amputated. We rescued her from the shelter and began working with her to figure out how to balance and live on 3 legs. Her rehab included work at UT veterinary center where she was fitted with her own wheel cart. Even with her disability, she exudes love and enjoys sitting with her human buddies here and just hanging out. Her favorite past-time is to lie and roll around in the grass and be brushed. She can run short distances and enjoys playing with other dogs. Here are some details about adopting her: The first step to adopting Blossom is to complete an application. The application process for Blossom is located at https://tapsusa.org/why-adopt/application/. Once you have completed the application and determined to be a fit for Blossom, we will invite you to meet her. Then, a volunteer will follow up to schedule a home visit (which is why we ask that you live within 25 miles of 37737). Please understand that we are unable to respond to applications from outside the area.

Story
Our sweet dog maple is our first baby and we are so sad to see her go. However as we brought our new born home we have found she does not do well with children. Maple is kind, silly, and the biggest snuggler in the world. While it breaks our heart to have to part with her we really desire her to go to someone who has time to take her for walks and give her the attention she deserves as we travel a lot for work as well. Maple has seizures that are often anxiety induced. They only happen before grooming appointments and vet visits. However she does have prescription medications for as needed cases. She does not require daily medication as these seizures are not a daily medical issue. We love her so much and really struggle to see her go. Maple would be a great fit for someone who does not have small children and has time to enjoy her for the gift she is. We really desire a good home for her.

Story
With ears that earn him the nickname “Dobby,” Moe is your classic teenage puppy — playful, curious, and still figuring things out. He does well on a leash and is incredibly food motivated, which makes him super trainable. He already knows how to sit, lay down, and give paw… though he’s still working on perfecting them. Moe’s personality leans playful and a little dominant. He loves to romp and wrestle, but sometimes gets a bit carried away. He’s sweet as can be and has a heart full of affection, but like many pups his age, he’s still in that “chew everything” phase. He gets excited around kids and is definitely a jumper, so a home without little ones under 8 would be best unless his adopters are ready to help him work through that habit. Moe just turned a year old, is neutered, microchipped and up to date on his vaccinations. He is back at C.A.R.E. and ready for a meet-n-greet. Moe is a bright, loving boy who’s ready to learn, grow, and become someone’s loyal sidekick. With the right guidance, he’s going to be an absolute gem.
