Hazel is a 3 year old Labradoodle. She has lived outside on a farm her entire life. She was used as a breeder for her entire life. KVPP offered to fix Hazel and the other breeders for free. The owners agreed but when they came in for surgery we discovered they were heartworm positive. The owners could not afford their care and surrendered them to us. Hazel is now spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and awaiting heartworm treatment. She is learning how to live inside a home. She is great with other dogs and beginning to realize how much she loves human attention. Hazel is being fostered in Knoxville, TN.

BLOSSOM is a tripod (front leg amputee). Blossom is a sweet, intelligent, affectionate girl who had a rough beginning in her life. She was found along a country road dragging a mangled front leg which ultimately had to be amputated. We rescued her from the shelter and began working with her to figure out how to balance and live on 3 legs. Her rehab included work at UT veterinary center where she was fitted with her own wheel cart. Even with her disability, she exudes love and enjoys sitting with her human buddies here and just hanging out. Her favorite past-time is to lie and roll around in the grass and be brushed. She can run short distances and enjoys playing with other dogs. Here are some details about adopting her: The first step to adopting Blossom is to complete an application. The application process for Blossom is located at https://tapsusa.org/why-adopt/application/. Once you have completed the application and determined to be a fit for Blossom, we will invite you to meet her. Then, a volunteer will follow up to schedule a home visit (which is why we ask that you live within 25 miles of 37737). Please understand that we are unable to respond to applications from outside the area.

Emmie was rescued 10 years ago as a puppy at Young-Williams Animal Shelter. She is a loving, sassy, very chill dog that loves to be at home and hanging out with humans. I’m looking for a loving, stable forever home for Cash with someone who understands that he is a young, strong Lab with special needs because of his limited vision. A home with a securely fenced yard would be ideal. He needs someone who has the time and patience to give him structure, consistency, exercise, affection, and reassurance. He does best when he knows what to expect and can build trust with his person. Because Cash is very attached to his people, I would love for him to go to someone who wants a true companion and is willing to include him as part of the family. He would benefit from someone experienced with larger dogs and comfortable helping a visually impaired dog navigate his surroundings. Most importantly, I want someone who is committed to keeping him for life. Cash has already experienced two broken homes, and I want his next home to be the one where he finally gets to stay. ❤️

She’s such a cuddly, warm dog. She loves to go for walks and play outside or just cuddle on the couch and watch tv. She’s great with kids and other pets! We’ve had some unexpected needs arise with our children and we are unable to care for her the way she deserves. She also has a “sister”, Moose, who is also up for adoption. They’re both great dogs! We are currently located in TN, but will to drive lengths to find our girl a good home!
