Story
Wallaby (or Wally for short) was found wandering in a common dumping ground behind the Sweetwater Veterinary Hospital in Tennessee. A kind, Good Samaritan reached out to us for help with this guy! Wallaby is a happy, silly guy with lots of energy. He gets along well with dogs outside but can be a bit possessive inside the house if he has pent up energy or doesn’t get enough mental and physical stimulation. Wallaby also has shoulder dysplasia which can cause some pain near his neck/shoulder area. On 3 different occasions, Wally nipped out of pain when his neck area was touched. His pain levels and medical condition are better controlled now with daily joint supplements and anti-inflammatory medicine as needed. However, because of this diagnosis, we feel he would also do best in a home with older kids who can respect his space. He would also do best in a home where he is not confined into a small space for long periods of time (kennel) as this causes Wally more pain. Wallaby is a high energy dog and since he is a poodle mix, he will require regular grooming and brushing! He will also require not only physical stimulation, but mental stimulation as well. This includes activities such as treat balls and puzzles, snuffle mats, hiking/walking at different, exciting places for new smells! He also looooooves to play fetch! He is in his happiest place when he is outside! Neutered, Vaccinated, Microchipped

Hello, I'm Maximus/Mowgli and I was born around October of 2020! Yes, you read that right, TWO names. I got my first name from woofwoof fosters and my second name from the kind man that helped me get to woofwoof fosters. I was taken to the vet right away after I got to woofwoof fosters and found out that I have a broken leg in 3 spots from probably falling out of a vehicle. I don't really remember what happened and I prefer not too! What matters to me now is that I am at a safe place until I heal and then find my furever home! I am taking applications! The vet and woofwoof fosters think I am a Great Pyrenees/Lab mix and weighed 75 pounds at my first vet visit! I was under-weight then, but I am slowly gaining from all the food and love from woofwoof fosters! I love them so much! I get along with the other dogs that I have met at woofwoof fosters (I go out to potty with woofwoof fosters' family dog). I am currently on kennel rest and have not made any messes in my kennel! *I was neutered on November 20th 2023 UTD on vaccines, on preventatives, and microchipped. *good with other dogs *unsure about cats because woofwoof fosters does not have cats *I currently live inside the house where a 3 year old little girl roams around and interacts with me and I have been good with her! “Pyradors” - an average male Great Pyrenees/Lab Mix stands tall to reach 25-29 inches, with a weight range of 80-100 pounds. Beauty was found wandering all alone in Sweetwater, TN near the dump by a Good Samaritan who posted on Facebook in a lost and found group but no one came forward to claim her. :( Our animal control contact then reached out to us for help with this situation and connected us with the finder. At the time, the Monroe County shelter was over capacity and euthanizing on intake. When she arrived at woofwoof fosters it appeared something strange was going on with her eyes. Turns out, she had a condition called Entropion which caused her eyelashes/eyelids to grow inwards! We scheduled her for surgery ASAP as this can lead to blindness if left untreated! Beauty has since recovered from surgery and is now ready for adoption! She can be dog selective, particularly with other dominant females it seems. We plan to continue working with/testing her to further evaluate if she would be able to possibly live with another dog if their temperaments lined up or if she needs to be the only dog in the home. She would do best in a home without young children as she has a LOT of energy and not great body awareness. She loves to run and play and will require mental stimulation in her new home as well as frequent physical stimulation. We think some simple scent trail training or possibly snuffle mats may help meet her needs as we feel she is likely a hound mix with a curious snout!
