Story
Hi! My name is Chesterfield. I am a really sweet, energetic guy, and I am just looking for my furever home! I am two years old (born around 5-11-2022), weigh about pounds, and I love dogs, cats and kids. I am doing so well with all of them in my foster home in South Carolina! I am neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, dewormed, current with all vaccines (as appropriate for my age) and on flea and heartworm prevention. I am all ready to be adopted :) My adoption fee is $150, and covers all of my vetting, and includes transport within the next two weeks, if my new family lives in the northeast USA. ***PLEASE DO NOT FILL OUT AN ADOPTION APPLICATION IF YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO ADOPT WITHIN THE NEXT TWO WEEKS**** Please visit https://www.apply.daybeforetherainbow.com/ to fill out an adoption application form or email my rescue at taryn@daybeforetherainbow.com! Thanks for checking me out!

Story
Roxy and Cooper are a bonded pair who are looking for a forever home together. Cooper is a small 2-year-old poodle schnauzer mix. He has previously lived in a house with children and is bonded to his Labradoodle sister Roxy but seems uncertain about new dogs. Cooper can be hesitant around new men but warms up very quickly. He is food-motivated and already knows how to sit. Roxy is a 3-4 year old Labradoodle. She has lived with children and her Schnauzer Poodle brother Cooper but she does not like playing with new dogs. Roxy does jump and hug when excited. She loves people and is very food-motivated. Roxy already knows how to sit on command and is ready to learn more. Both Roxy and Cooper are not socialized with cats and would be best in a home without other animals. Both have been spayed/neutered, microchipped, and are up to date on shots. If you are interested in adopting Roxy and Cooper please fill out an adoption application on our website.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. KELLER was saved from a kill shelter in Louisiana and arrived at Give a Dog a Home Rescue, in Sebec, Maine on 10 October 2023. KELLER is neutered, rabies, core vaccines, monthly preventatives, heartworm and tick disease tested negative and is microchipped with 24PetWatch.He has an estimated date of birth of May 2023 and on 26 October 2023 weighed around 60 pounds. We have no way of knowing the breed, it is up to individuals to look at the pictures and videos to make up their own mind. We take a lot of pictures and videos and don't always have the time to post them on the dogs individual webpage and adoption site, so we ask that you go to the rescue     YouTube channel     and     photo albums on our Facebook page     to see a LOT of pictures and videos. KELLER is a big, affectionate love bug who cannot look at anyone without waggling his bum which wags his body.  He loves to play and charge around with his other dogs friends, but can be very calm and gentle with people.  He has been around adults of all ages, shapes and sizes, small children and people with special needs and was gentle and loving.  He is responsive and can be a little shy on occasions, he has been out on adventures and came on our December outing to Bissell Brothers Brewery where he had a great time. He does need an active family who will ensure he gets all the exercise, both mentally and physically that he needs to live a happy fulfilling life. We are looking for families that have the lifestyle that the dog needs to lead a healthy, both mentally and physically life, who can afford a GOOD quality food, toys and treats and understand the importance of veterinary wellness checks. KELLER is located at the rescue in Sebec Maine and is available for a  reduced adoption  fee of $250. Interested families are required to complete our application process and once approved schedule an appointment to come to the rescue to meet and take home their new best friend. Our process takes 1-2 days as long as we are able to talk to references, so be prepared to be approved (hopefully) to adopt within a few days of submitting the adoption application. https://giveadogahome-rescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/form?formid=5838 HOUSE TRAINED - All of our dogs are located in the kennel building so we are not able to say if a dog is house-trained, however, they do have access and use the dog door to access their run, play area 24/7. FOOD - We feed a variety of high quality brands and flavors including, chicken, turkey, beef, lamb and fish generally alternated daily. CATS - As the dogs are in the kennels, we are not able to say how they are with cats. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. WIZ was saved from a kill shelter in Georgia and arrived at Give a Dog a Home Rescue, in Sebec, Maine on 5 April 2024.  Wiz is neutered, rabies, core vaccines, monthly preventatives, and is microchipped with 24PetWatch. He has an estimated date of birth of 27 November 2023 and in April 2024 weighed of 20 pounds. We have no way of knowing the breed, it is up to individuals to look at the pictures and videos to make up their own mind. Wiz has a hunchback and whilst at the shelter did have an orthopedic examination where the veterinarian determined and noted on his medical paperwork "hunched back but othro exam was normal". Whilst being at the rescue he is happy, active and shows no sign of discomfort or pain whilst he is running and playing with the other pups. This sweet boy is still a young pup and so we are looking for families who understand that puppies are a lot of work and need lots of socializing, training, structure and routine. WIZ is such a gentle soul, he can be playful and boisterous one minute and then chilled and relaxing the next. He likes to wrestle and play with his puppy kennel mates, but also is in the middle of the puppy-pile when it is nap time. He will sneak into the other kennel and give me those puppy eyes to give him some sneaky cuddles and ear scratches which just make him melt into my arms - so adorable. We take a lot of pictures and videos and don't always have the time to post them on the dogs individual webpage and adoption site, so we ask that you go to the rescue    YouTube channel   and  photo albums on our Facebook page   to see a LOT of pictures and videos.
