Story
Hi I’m Dorothy, I’m an 8 year old lab/shepherd mix. I am current on my vaccines, (soon to be) heartworm tested, spayed, and microchipped. 3 words that describe me: Calm, friendly, affectionate. Things staff and volunteers have to say about me: “Such a lovely old lady!” “She’s a happy-sweet tail-waggin girl“ Activity level/Energy Level: (1-10): 3/10 I’m an old lady but still have some pep in my step! Housetraining Status: I’ve had some accidents overnight but overall does well. (She’s old girl!) I should do well in a home: I should do well in a home with children ages 10 and up, as younger children can be too much for me. I also would do well in a home with other dogs given proper introductions and some time to adjust. I’ve never been around cats so my humans don’t know how I would be around them. My favorite activities are: I love to play outside! I like to explore and follow my nose! Things I need work on are: I need to lose some weight, and I do pull some on leash Any special needs: N/A Doggy day out notes: N/A Daycare Status: N/A My adoption fee is: $250 Training Requirement if applicable: N/A *If you are interested in adopting, please start by filling out an application available on our website and email it to us. https://www.couleehumane.com/adopt-an-animal

Hello! I'm Gwennie! I am a 4 year old Labrador Retriever mix. I will soon be on my vaccines, heartworm tested, spayed, and microchipped.3 words that describe me: Friendly, Chill, QuietThings staff and volunteers have to say about me: Although I am very shy at first, I am the sweetest girl ever once I get to know you! I love to be outside and am a totally different dog when I am! I am doing so great as I get used to shelter life, I am coming out of my shell and showing my real personality. I howl when alone and I like playing with other dogs. I am a big sweetie and I am happy to prove it to anyone I meet. Activity level/Energy Level: (1-10): 7/10Housetraining Status: I'm housetrained! I should do well in a home: I should do well in a home with other dogs given proper introductions. I should do well in a home with kids with a meet because I am very nervous, although I am becoming more outgoing. My friends at the shelter are unsure how I would do with cats. My favorite activities are: Anything that can be done outside! I love rolling in the grass, swimming, playing fetch, and chase!Things I need work on are: I need to work on building my confidence!Any special needs: Kid Meet RequiredDoggy day out notes: "She was great, super sweet and friendly. She loved walking on the trails and being outside. She also was very friendly to new people""Gwennie did amazing, she's very adventurous and loved to sniff. Story
Hi there, my name is Souchi and I'm a 4-year-old female poodle mix! I am current on my vaccines, heartworm tested, spayed, and microchipped. 3 words that describe me: Loyal, Affectionate, Velcro Things my foster says about me: "Souchi is loads of fun and energy! She loves playing fetch, and can even entertain herself by tossing her toys around! She also enjoys sprinting laps around the yard. She does know how to relax and is game for lots of snuggles and movie nights with the family. This girl bonds quickly with her human and loves fiercely. Wherever you go, she will follow. She's an A+ snuggler and isn't afraid to ask for more attention by pawing at you or giving you endless kisses. Souchi is also a very smart lady who loves to learn! She knows sit, shake, lay down, and is great at coming when called. Souchi is a home body. While she enjoys walks and hikes, she can get overwhelmed and fearful in busy places and with new faces. Since meeting new people can be a little scary for her, it will take some time for her to warm up." Activity level/Energy Level: (1-10): 5 or 6/10 I'm usually a chill lady but can get quite the pep in my step when excited! Housetraining Status: I am housetrained, however it may take some time for me to adjust to the schedule in my new home. I should do well in a home: It is highly recommended that I go into foster-to-adopt, but it's not required. I am required to go to a home with children 12 years and over to ensure all of my boundaries are respected. I should do well with other dogs given proper introductions and time to adjust. I've been great with the cats in my foster home. My favorite activities are: Getting lots of love from my humans, zooming around outside, playing fetch, and wrestling with my foster dad. Things I need work on are: I could use some work on my commands. Any special needs: CRHS staff highly recommend foster-to-adopt but it's not required. Doggy day out notes: N/A Daycare Status: N/A My adoption fee is: $300 Training Requirement if applicable: N/A *If you are interested in adopting, please start by filling out an application available on our website and email it to us. https://www.couleehumane.com/adopt-an-animal
