Meet Jake! Jake is a 7 year old male who recently had quite a change in his world, and his original family is hoping to find him a loving home. One of Jake's owners passed away not long ago, and the other member of the family works long hours and leaves Jake alone for long periods of time. They attempted to re-home him, but unfortunately after just 5 days, the family they trusted to take care of him ended up dumping him. They took him to a stranger's driveway, left him there with food, and took off in the middle of the night leaving him scared and confused. Luckily, he remained safe until he was brought to our shelter. His original family was devastated to find out that Jake was betrayed in this manner, and asked us to help them in finding him a new family who would never even consider something like this. Here is what his family said: DOB 7/4/2018 Jake is happy typical high energy 7 year old intact male Chocolate lab. He has been an outdoors dog all his life therefore he is not house trained. He walks nicely on a leash and knows basic sit and stay commands. He loves to dig and chew things. He is generally a quiet dog but will bark if a vehicle pulls up. Has been good with other dogs and cats that he's been around. If you think you would like to meet Jake and make him a member of your family, please reach out to us! Meet Bruno! Bruno is approximately 3 1/2 years old and thought to be a Labrador/Hound-type mix.Bruno came to us as a transfer from a rescue who pulled him from an overcrowded shelter. Unfortunately last year, he had Heartworm and went through several months of treatment to help him heal. His heart will likely still need a few more months of rest before he can go hardcore on the activity, but after that he will hopefully be as good as new! Until then, Bruno simply needs a place to call his own.Bruno is incredibly sweet and loves people. He has a gentle demeanor and would love a family who can include him in daily walking and lots of snuggles, or even basking in the sun outside on a nice day. He's friendly with strangers, kids & other dogs (Cats are unknown at this time) so he should settle in to almost any loving environment!Bruno is crate trained and is thought to be fully housebroken, but because he's had several changes in environments lately, his new family should expect to help him learn the new routine with patience. He would also love to learn new commands and tricks, as he's very eager to please his humans.We're still learning about Bruno, as he just recently arrived, but we can already tell he's going to make someone a LOVELY addition to their family!
