Story
Malachi is a smart and sweet 5 yr old labradoodle. He was raised by a family since he was 8 weeks old and surrendered to Big Bones due to changed family circumstances. He is house trained, able to free room when left alone, knows many commands, and is dog friendly with the right introductions. He is also very kid friendly and will make a great family dog. Malachi is affectionate, bonds well with people, and loves to play with toys. He is ~70 lb and needs a good hand on the leash when encountering a rabbit or squirrel, but responds really really well to a light correction on a leash. Please apply to meet this awesome, sweet boy today!

Story
*** AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION, FOSTER, or FOSTER TO ADOPT *** Meet Kuma! She is a brand new graduate of our P.A.C.K. Program, a 9-week intensive program for routine obedience, agility, and handling training with a prison inmate trainer and she is ready to show off her new skills! Her new abilities include 'sit', 'down', 'shake' and more! New adopters should realize that PACK Program graduates will require regular, ongoing reinforcement of learned behaviors in order for them to become permanent. Kuma is like the Energizer Bunny in Labrador form. True to the breed, she’s delightfully puppy-ish and full of life—and that description fits her perfectly! This girl lives for fetch, playtime, and exercise. Kuma is friendly with every dog she’s met and does well sharing her toys. She’s affectionate too, especially when it comes to neck scratches and belly rubs. Once her exercise needs are met, she knows how to relax and chill in the house—but getting that energy out first is key! She is currently on medication to help manage anxiety related to insufficient exercise. We recommend continuing this medication for at least a couple of months after adoption, though it may also be beneficial long-term. Kuma hasn’t always loved her kennel, but she’s made great progress at PACK and has learned that it’s a safe, comfortable space. She has been introduced to cats and seemed to do okay. With proper supervision and continued training, she may be able to live successfully in a home with cats. If you’re looking for an active, loving companion who will keep you moving and then happily snuggle once the day is done, Kuma could be your perfect match! She'll graduate towards the end of January. Apply to meet her today!

*** AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION, FOSTER, or FOSTER TO ADOPT *** Meet Ricky! He is a graduate of our P.A.C.K. Program, a 9-week intensive program for routine obedience, agility, and handling training with a prison inmate trainer and he is ready to show off his new skills! His new abilities include 'sit', 'wave', 'pray' and more! New adopters should realize that PACK Program graduates will require regular, ongoing reinforcement of learned behaviors in order for them to become permanent. Ricky is a big boy with an even bigger heart. He absolutely loves people and truly aims to please. When playtime rolls around, he turns into a total goofball—especially when a Kong or ball is involved! Ricky is still learning his leash manners, and while it’s a work in progress, he does well when using a Gentle Leader and continues to improve with consistent guidance. He has done very well with female dogs but isn’t always a fan of other males. If he were to have a dog sibling, a female dog would be the best fit, and a meet-and-greet prior to adoption is recommended. Ricky cannot live in a home with cats and will not be a good fit for a home where he has access to livestock. Ricky spent quite some time at another shelter in Wyoming, and we’re really hoping his forever family finds him soon. He is such a deserving dog and will make a loyal, loving companion for the right home. Apply to meet Ricky today!

*** AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION, FOSTER, or FOSTER TO ADOPT *** Meet Ransom! He is currently in our P.A.C.K. Program, a 9-week intensive program for routine obedience, agility, and handling training with a prison inmate trainer and he is almost ready to show off his new skills! His new abilities include 'sit', 'wave', 'shake' and more! New adopters should realize that PACK Program graduates will require regular, ongoing reinforcement of learned behaviors in order for them to become permanent. Ransom is just the most precious boy ever! He loves attention and love. He really wants to learn and has picked up on many commands and tricks while at PACK. He is fairly calm inside the house, but if the other dogs want to play he's game! He does well with other dogs. When Ransom met cats, he also wanted to play and investigate what they were. With time, patience, and supervision he may be ok to live with them. He is still young and can learn boundaries. This handsome guy enjoys snuggling with his favorite humans, going for runs or walks and romping around the yard. Ransom is both kennel trained and house trained. If you’re looking for a total cutie with a heart of gold, Ransom may be the perfect addition to your home. He'll graduate towards the middle of February. Apply to meet him today!
