She may be a little reserved when first meeting new people, but don’t let her shy nature fool you underneath it is a very loving and loyal dog who just needs a little time to feel comfortable. Lavern is bonded to her sister, Shirley, and they will have to find a home together. Lavern having her sister by her side will help ease the adjustment period if you are able and willing to adopt two gorgeous girls! Having spent a lot of time outdoors, Lavern would do best with a family that can provide her with an active lifestyle and plenty of opportunities to stretch her legs. She is currently overweight, so a healthy diet and a veterinary check-up are highly recommended to help her get on the right track. With regular exercise and proper care, Lavern will greatly benefit both physically and emotionally. Once Lavern builds trust, she becomes an affectionate companion who will happily stay by your side through it all. She’s ready for a fresh start with someone willing to give her the patience, love, and care she deserves!
