Story
Nelly (A130400) is a 3-year-old lab mix who wegihed nearly 50 lbs at intake but needs to shed a few pounds!02/06/26 Miss Nelly, previously Yentna, was brought to the shelter due to the cost of veterinary care. Nelly was not eating for several days, so she was seen by our shelter veterinarian and on observation for a few days. Nelly can be a picky eater and may tire of one kind of food after some time. While at the shelter, she has eaten well, so the veterinarian cleared her for adoption! Nelly was described as being a gentle and affectionate girl who generally minds well and does well in the car. She knows some basic commands, such as sit and come. She was said to be kennel trained and housebroken. She was said to do well with other dogs and most humans. She does not have experience with children or cats. Please make sure any and all introductions are done in a slow and controlled and respectful manner. If you are inteerested in meeting Miss Nelly, please give us a call!04/20/23 These adorable, playful little puppies are ready for their new homes! Yentna came to the shelter with her siblings because their owner was unable to care for them. These puppies have been in a foster home for a couple of weeks so they could grow a bit more before being ready for adoption. They had a great start on socializing and have even been handled daily by the children in the foster's home! The foster family worked very hard on potty pad training the entire litter as well as beginning the basics of teaching `sit` for their treats and appear to be very food motivated making training a breeze. Here is a little bit of information that the foster home gathered about Yentna, or as the foster home had been calling her, `Maple`. `She is not shy and has been the most playful from the start! She is not afraid of other dogs, and just wants to play and have fun. We often find her wresting and having adorable little puppy barking/growling matches with one of her sisters or brothers.` Puppies are a lot of work, they will need consistency, training and patience with their new families. If you are ready to add a puppy to your family and would like to meet with Yentna or one of her siblings, please give the shelter a call to make an appointment to meet them!February 7, 2026, 9:45 pm

Story
Milla is about 1 year and 5 months old. She is a happy, young, energetic dog. She is very playful, loves attention and people. She is housebroken and kennel trained. She knows several commands including sit, stay, wait, come, lay down, & more. She does like cats but will try to play with them like they're dogs. She isn't hyper but she is still young so she can be rambunctious at times and would benefit from a large yard or a family with slightly older kids that will tire her out. She does not bite or nip but she does jump so she might be too much for toddlers or smaller children. Unfortunately we can no longer giver her the time and attention she deserves due to our schedules. She is healthy but not spayed and is due for her shots.

Story
Willow Rose (A139554) is a 2-year-old Lab x Pitbull mix who weighed 57.9 pounds on intake! 02/03/26 This escapee is Miss Willow Rose! Willow Rose was surrendered to the shelter because her owner was struggling to keep her contained. She was known to jump fences and would take the opportunity to run if given the chance. Willow Rose is looking for an owner who can keep her contained while outdoors, whether on a leash, on a secure tie-out, or supervised in a fenced-in yard. She was said to be kennel-trained, housebroken (will whine at the door), and already knows her basic commands! Willow Rose was noted to be initially timid around men but does very well with women. Her surrendering owner noted that she is very gentle with babies, but once children are past the toddler stage, she will jump up and possibly knock them over. Not maliciously, but because she does not understand her size or strength. We encourage her next owner to bring her to a basic obedience class with a certified trainer to continue working on her manners and break a few of these less desirable habits. Willow Rose previously lived with other dogs and was said to do well. She has no history with cats, pocket pets, or livestock. Please ensure you are making slow, safe, and controlled introductions with all new potential friends to help set her up for success. Willow Rose is looking for a home that can keep her both mentally and physically stimulated so she stays out of mischief. If you are interested in meeting Willow Rose, please let us know! Story
Lucky (A139545) is an 11-month-old Labrador x AK Husky mix who weighed 54.6 pounds on intake! Lucky is looking for a foster-to-adopt as she recovers from FHO surgery. 02/02/26 This lovely lady is Lucky, who, sadly, was not so lucky. Lucky was surrendered to the shelter after she was hit by a car. Lucky was known to be an escape artist, and it is critical that her next owner keep her safely contained on a leash, secure tie-out, or supervised in a fenced-in yard. Lucky is on strict care instructions after her FHO (Femoral Head Osteotomy) surgery. She needs to remain on strict kennel rest for 12-14 days (Feb 11th). After kennel rest, she still has a long road to recovery with physical therapy. She needs to be given only short bathroom breaks (5-10 minutes) on a leash. During recovery, she should not have interactions with other dogs. However, it is important to note that Lucky is dog-friendly and did previously live with dogs! Luckyâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s incision also needs to remain dry and clean â&#194&#128&#194&#147 no baths. She is sporting an awesome e-collar to keep her from licking. Making sure you follow her recovery and physical therapy plan is very important to help her while she heals. It is not uncommon for dogs not to bear weight for the first couple of weeks of recovery. As for her personality, she is quite a happy girl. She wags her tail and is always cheerful to see the staff. We do not know her experience level with children. Please ensure you are making appropriate introductions after she is done with recovery. If you are interested in fostering Lucky and helping her through her recovery, please let us know! Story
She’s a good girl just needs a big yard (our pool takes up 3/4 of our yard) and same size or bigger dog friends, she’s kennel trained, will come with kennel. She has a tendency to chew so needs to be able to stay busy! She is great with kids, she’s just too big for our 4 year old and knocks her over 9/10 times when trying to play, so recommending older/teen aged kids. It’s breaking our hearts but she deserves more than what we can provide for her.
