Story
Scout and her 6 siblings were rescued on January 4 of this year when a brave soul crawled up under an abandoned house and brought the tiny two-week old babies to safety. Once in the home of the rescuer, these pups have been well cared for along with their Mother, Raina, who has been adopted.Raina was a yellow lab mix who was extremely docile and well behaved. Raina weighed about 40 pounds. We do not know who daddy was but possibly a black lab as most of the pups are black and white, however, we do have one who is brindle and another one who has a brindle face and legs. :) Whatever the mix, they are very nice-looking kids!Scout is a little bit shy and we are giving her extra attention to help her get a bit more relaxed around strangers. It is sort of understandable though, as with so many siblings, someone has to be the shy one!Scout currently weighs just under 40 pounds and she's a little plump, always good for puppies, but once she grows into her weight and becomes an adult, we believe she will reach the weight of 50 pounds. Her coat is slick and shiny with beautiful markings ... it looks as though she is wearing a well-fitting tuxedo! This girl has had all of her puppy shots, is on heartworm, flea and tick preventative and has been wormed. She is scheduled to be spayed, microchipped and get her rabies shot in a few days. Story
Juno is a sweet 9 y/o female, black lab/boxer mix with white chest markings. She weighs 65 lbs, is spayed, current on all vaccines and heartworm meds. She is house broken, but currently not crate trained. Her day: Juno greets us when we come downstairs in the morning and besides wanting her food, settles down quickly. She really is low key around the house until around 3, when she lets us know she is ready for her walk. Juno is a great walker and this is what she loves. She also plays fetch with a treat reward. She also loves when my kids play hide and seek with a stuffed animal. After her walk or play, she again settles down and lays by our feet when we watch tv in the evening. She is great around babies and my grandkids. Gets excited when someone visits, but again settles down pretty quickly. Because our yard is not fenced in, sometimes when I leave town Juno gets nervous and usually escapes. This happens 2-3 times a year. Juno gets nervous with storms, we give her Trazodone, which helps. She also takes a joint supplement and Diethylstilbesteol for incontinence. The medication is given weekly, cost is about $35 monthly. Why we are looking to rehome Juno -. As much as I love Juno my husband is not a dog lover and is tired of caring for her while I’m not around. To make the best possible match for you and the pet, please follow the link below to complete the Adoption Application. Story
Snickers (who we call Nicky) and his 6 siblings were rescued on January 4 of this year when a brave soul crawled up under an abandoned house and brought the tiny two-week old babies to safety. Once safe, these pups have been well cared for along with their Mother, Raina, who was recently adopted! This litter is believed to be lab mix, with mom being a yellow lab mix who is extremely social, docile and well behaved and already adopted! Mom weighs in at 40 pounds, but we expect these kids to be a little bit bigger with the girls being 45 pounds and the boys possibly 50 pounds. Nicky is ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS and has a very nice personality! We just put these new photos of him up and they not only show off his good looks, but his beautiful coat! As far as daddy goes, we just don't know who that might be but from years of figuring out dog breeds, we have settled on a chocolate lab as some of the pups had chocolate coats and two have brindle or partial brindle coats and they all look extremely "labby" and with a beautiful blonde mom, they had every chance of being nice-looking kids!As you can see, Nicky has a brindle face and his legs are also brindle. While the majority of his body is black, he has that nice splash of white on his chest and his feet are also white. He has been well fed and we expect him to grow to be around 50 pounds when full grown at two years. He currently weighs just over 40 pounds. Nicky is learning house manners and how to walk on leash and has proven to be a smart guy! He's also been fully vetted and is ready to find his forever family ... is it yours? Adoption fee for Nicky is $150.If you would like to meet or adopt this handsome boy, please start with our Adoption Application.
