Hello, my name is Jasmine. I am a sweet playful girl who is so grateful to have been found by this rescue. I was dumped in a field far away. I get along great with cats and dogs of all sizes. I am learning to trust people. I am crate train and working on walking on a leash but as with any puppy I will still need more training. I am your explorer, if you want to go for long walks, I’m your girl. I would need a fenced backyard as I just love to be outside playing with my siblings and toys. Has been spayed and up to date on her shots and is HW negative. If you are interested in giving me a loving wonderful forever home, please contact and fill out an adoption application for me with this rescue at www.arkansaschihuahuarescue.org Please note I am in Central Arkansas. On the roadside they melted, two souls in need, Scared and sweet, a tale of destiny to heed. Chips Ahoy and Oreo, abandoned but strong, Lab mixes of love, in the world, they belong. Their fur tells a story, resilience in strands, Eyes wide with wonder, in a world that demands. Chips, like a chocolate kiss, in the moonlight gleams, Oreo, sweet as cream, in the sun's soft beams. Together they dance, like cookies in delight, Found on the road, under the pale moonlight. Names that echo love, like a sweet melody, In a world so vast, they find harmony. Story
Hi my name is Curly and I have a great story to tell. I am a good boy that’s shy and unsure at first. People, car rides, and loud noises scare me. So I need a home that is quiet and 1-2 people at most would be best. I do great with other dogs, they bring me out of my shell. I know I’m not for everyone but I am the right one for the special person, who can work with me and go at my slow pace, who won’t get frustrated that the world is sometimes scary to me and I need time and help figuring it out. I really want to be loved and give you love, it will just take time, trust, and understanding. I am kennel trained, house trained, and like the backyard. Leash walks are not my favorite but I am working on that. Since I am scared, I like to be able to go in and out of my kennel when I am scared or just feel like it. If you want a special dog that’s not like everyone else, but will always hold a special place in your heart…. I am your boy! I have been around dogs and cats with no issues. I've also been around kids, but I prefer to keep to myself when little ones are around. I'm also crate and housetrained, neutered, heartworm negative, and have age-appropriate vaccinations!  If you're interested in adopting, please email your phone number to rockcityrescue@gmail.comMay 10, 2024, 11:47 am

Story
Hi, my name is Moe! If you are looking for a special dog, you are barking up the right tree! What makes me special is that life started out a little shaky for me and has left me more nervous and scared than the average dog. With time, understanding, patience, and building trust I will open up and be the best companion you could want! As the saying goes, I stick to the 3’s. I need 3 days to decompress, 3 weeks of a consistent routine and time to learn it & 3 months to start feeling at home. At first, I am more comfortable with other dogs and people really scare me, so I would do best with an outgoing friendly dog in the house to show me how to feel comfortable and confident. As time goes on, I get more used to humans but would do best in a single-person home or just a couple (too many people or a lot of children will be too much for me). I like my kennel and my safe dark space. I will come around and hang out more when I trust it is safe. I am kennel trained and working on being better with the leash. If you are looking for an amazing but special dog who needs a little bit of a calmer lifestyle, I am your man!!!! Email your phone number to rockcityrescue@gmail.com for more info! So stop me if you have heard this one...... I was walking down the road, minding my own business when BAM! I was hit by a car!!! You haven't heard this one yet??? Well, sit back and relax and let me tell you my story of despair and hard work and now, REDEMPTION!!! Yes, I was literally minding my own business- I was searching for food, water and maybe some love in the mean streets... The car accident actually SAVED my life and now I am in my foster home and it is SO AWESOME!!! BUT, I have a forever home out there looking for a hard working, happy and SWEET fuzzy (a little gray)face and I am going to find you! I am such a good girl, smart and sweet and huggable. I have been through alot of recovery and am getting around great (see I was partially paralyzed for a month or two after the accident) but with the knowledge and love of my foster family I WALK again! I am pretty independent now and ready for the COUCH of my dreams! Look at my video and see how far I have come. I am great with other dogs, all people and for my safety sake would LOVE a KID OF MY OWN!! I actually am AMAZING WITH SPECIAL NEEDS KIDS :) I just seem to have a special connection with the special kids and sure hope to find one to be my bestest friend!! In return for your family and love I will give you my WHOLE life of love and happiness. I mean, look into my gorgeous soulful eyes and ADOPT ME!!! My foster mom can tell you all about who I am and you can decide to adopt me! ***This dog has a special need from her family. Please identify how you will continue her special care when you adopt her- Noel has bilateral hip dysplasia as well as weakness in her back end. She gets around very well, but needs monitoring and a quiet home. She takes joint supplements daily for life and anti inflammatory meds.**** Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area. Temporary $50 fuel fee will be applied)

Story
Old Yeller, is that a new trend? Old stuff made NEW?? Cause I am NOT old, although I am Yeller, a really pretty YELLER COLOR!!! :) I am a Yeller Chesapeake bay retriever/ YELLER lab mix, it is important for my new family to know about the Chesapeake bay breed. We can be very stubborn, smart and independent and I really like to be in charge, so my new family needs to be strong leaders too. I am a handsome bloke, with swirls of yellow and white all through my coat. I am very smart and very sweet. I can from a high kill shelter with no hope- Now I EXUDE hope!! And LOVE!!! I WAS heartworm positive but have already finished the treatment and am NEGATIVE and just stay on prevention for the rest of my life. I am good with other dogs, but really would be best in an only dog home, cause I want all the attention :) I LOVE MY people and I tend to take "control" of my home so have to have a couple of things... 1) STRONG leadership owner, 2) I have to have an owner who will be wiling to not let me meet everyone who visits.. I want to protect my home a little too much... and 3) I have to stay in the San Antonio/TX area so my rescue friends can keep close tabs on me and how i am doing :) I have been running and playing since I am safe, but really am a couch potato. I am a bigger boy and about 65-70#. Look me up, get my number, text or call me OR just APPLY to ADOPT ME!!! I will be waiting by the phone!!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX)
