Meet Missy! Missy is a very sweet, loving, and exuberant girl ready for a new chapter in her life. Missy came into care with many other dogs after having a challenging start to her life. Despite that, Missy wants nothing more than to be loved. She craves being close to people as much as possible and enjoys snuggling up with a cozy blanket. Because of her challenging start to life, Missy is still learning how to be a dog. Missy has not had the opportunity to live in a home yet, so she is looking for patient adopters that will help her navigate all there is to learn. Practically everything is new to her, and it's critical that any potential adopters are willing to prioritize creating a safe space for her to learn that the world isn't so scary after all.If Missy sounds like the right fit for your home, please fill in an application below! https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/dog-pre-adoption-questionnaire/ Primary Color: Tan Secondary Color: Black Weight: 28.4 Age: 2yrs 0mths 3wks

Story
Meet Eddy! Eddy is a loving dog who is ready to have a new start in life. This handsome guy has unfortunately learned in his past that life is not always kind. Because of his rough start to life, new things can often feel scary to him at first, but underneath that caution is a dog who truly wants to do well and try his best to impress people. Once Eddy has time to get to know you, his sweet personality shines. He is a devoted snuggler and can sometimes think that he is a lap dog. Eddy finds a lot of comfort being curled up with someone that he trusts. When he feels safe, Eddy will be sure to show off his playful side with his zoomies around the yard. Eddy's speed and lack of coordination when he gets the zoomies is sure to keep you laughing.Because of his past, Eddy is still learning some of the basics. He will need a patient adopter who will see progress in small victories and use positive reinforcement to encourage Eddy every step of the way. Eddy has not had the opportunity to live in the warmth of a home environment and so he is continually learning how to be a dog such as how to play with toys, walk on a leash, and where to go to the bathroom. If Eddy sounds like the right fit for your home, please fill in an application below! https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/dog-pre-adoption-questionnaire/ Primary Color: Black Weight: 25.4 Age: 6yrs 0mths 3wks

Story
Meet Wendy! Wendy is a sweet and loving girl who is ready for a fresh beginning! Wendy came into care with many other dogs and is slowly learning how to trust people. Once Wendy gets to know you, she is all in with her loyalty and love. Wendy will happily sit for a cuddle, run around the yard with her person, or take tasty treats. Wendy is at the very beginning of learning what the world is like. She has never lived in a home before, and everything is new to her such as leashes, toys, beds, or household sounds to name a few. Because of this, she can be very shy and fearful in unfamiliar situations or with anyone she doesn't know. Even though Wendy is not in a place that she will approach strangers, once she knows you she loves fully. Her bond, once earned with time, is incredibly special. If Wendy sounds like the right fit for your home, please fill in an application below! https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/dog-pre-adoption-questionnaire/ Primary Color: Tan Secondary Color: Black Weight: 31.6 Age: 1yrs 5mths 3wks

Good with dogs,
Story
Meet Oyster, he is a 5-month-old Lab mix, ready to give an ocean of love! Oyster's life started out in very rough waters; he arrived in poor health, very unsure of the world, hesitant of people, yet still eager to show affection and be loved. This special boy is still learning the ins and outs of how to be a dog, but he is patiently waiting for his future family to come to lead him the rest of the way! Oyster has never lived in a home before, so he will need a patient guardian who can give him time to settle in, help build up his confidence, and guide him through new experiences. He would do best in a home that can match his budding enthusiasm while also understanding his softer side. As far as we know, Oyster is a mix of several breeds, including Labrador Retriever. Labs are very intelligent, high-energy dogs that require a lot of training, stimulation, and exercise. Oyster is at the age where training and routine are critical, so he needs the consistency, patience and love of his new guardian to show him the ways of developing into a mature and fulfilled adult dog. If you think Oyster could be a good fit for you, please fill out the application below. https://spca.bc.ca/survey/dog-adoption-application-kamloops/ TIP: We encourage all applicants to write a little bit about themselves when prompted. Leaving these questions empty inhibits our ability to make the best match possible and drastically affects the likelihood of receiving a call back. Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 22.6 Age: 0yrs 6mths 0wks
