Story
Meet Missy! Missy is a very sweet, loving, and exuberant girl ready for a new chapter in her life. Missy came into care with many other dogs after having a challenging start to her life. Despite that, Missy wants nothing more than to be loved. She craves being close to people as much as possible and enjoys snuggling up with a cozy blanket. Because of her challenging start to life, Missy is still learning how to be a dog. Missy has not had the opportunity to live in a home yet, so she is looking for patient adopters that will help her navigate all there is to learn. Practically everything is new to her, and it's critical that any potential adopters are willing to prioritize creating a safe space for her to learn that the world isn't so scary after all.If Missy sounds like the right fit for your home, please fill in an application below! https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/dog-pre-adoption-questionnaire/ Primary Color: Tan Secondary Color: Black Weight: 29.1 Age: 2yrs 0mths 2wks

Story
Meet Wendy! Wendy is a sweet and loving girl who is ready for a fresh beginning! Wendy came into care with many other dogs and is slowly learning how to trust people. Once Wendy gets to know you, she is all in with her loyalty and love. Wendy will happily sit for a cuddle, run around the yard with her person, or take tasty treats. Wendy is at the very beginning of learning what the world is like. She has never lived in a home before, and everything is new to her such as leashes, toys, beds, or household sounds to name a few. Because of this, she can be very shy and fearful in unfamiliar situations or with anyone she doesn't know. Even though Wendy is not in a place that she will approach strangers, once she knows you she loves fully. Her bond, once earned with time, is incredibly special. If Wendy sounds like the right fit for your home, please fill in an application below! https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/dog-pre-adoption-questionnaire/ Primary Color: Tan Secondary Color: Black Weight: 30.8 Age: 1yrs 5mths 2wks

Ready for the sweetest welcome? My name is CUTIE and here is some info about me:Breed: Labrador Retriever/Hound mixAge: 6 monthsGender: FemaleWeight: 20 kgHeight: 58 cmCountry of origin: Middle EastHighlights: Gentle, friendly, playful, adaptable, sweet I am a sweet and gentle puppy, who needs a soft landing and a family to show me what true love means.Left abandoned near a half-finished building in the Middle East, I was barely able to walk. So tiny and weak, I kept tumbling over. My rescuers had to bring me soft food exclusively, as I was too small to eat anything else. After spending some time with other dogs in a large garden, neighbors complained, and I was moved to a restricted area in dog boarding. Now, more than ever, I need a kind family to bring me home.Being naturally friendly and adaptable, I get along with everyone! I am good with children, women, and men. In fact, I just love people.Having a balanced energy level makes me a wonderful companion for play and relaxation. Ready to settle in, I just need a gentle hand to guide me.A kind family looking for a friendly puppy who will thrive on gentle guidance and lots of affection is what I am seeking.Additional vids: https://youtu.be/IiYJNPL9VXc, https://youtu.be/-clvvIgYjjk,  https://youtu.be/iRcmQX2n82Q, https://youtu.be/LIbrVKPfI30. Please be prepared to continue training.House trained: no. Please help me learn. Health notes:I am vaccinated and will be spayed and microchipped before transport. My adoption fee is $800.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. While our rescuers always seek a flight without a charge, there is the possibility of a passenger fee, not to exceed $300. Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or  Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. You will NOT be asked to pay a passenger fee on top of the cargo fee. [MID-EAST] *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East.[TURKEY] Dogs from Turkey receive a 4D SNAP test to include Leishmania, Heartworm, Ehrlichia, & Anaplasma, as well as Giardia, Parvo, Corona & Distemper. ##2572939##

Story
Hello to all my fans. My name is REMY and here is a little info about me:Breed: Labrador Retriever/Anatolian Shepard mixAge: 1 yearGender: maleWeight: 22 kgCountry of origin: Middle EastHighlights: smart, affectionate, social, loyal, sweet, playful I am super photogenic and love to pose with my beautiful eyes for the camera. It was a bitter, winter morning when my rescuer's friend, who owns a small shop near her home, arrived to open for the day. Something unusual caught her eye — a small door mat left at the doorstep. And on it, a tiny puppy, me, curled up tight trying to keep warm against the cold.I was alone, shivering, too young to understand why the world had already let me down.Like a child left behind, I had been abandoned—quietly, anonymously, without a trace of care.My rescuer came to pick me up. She had gentle arms and soft words. I went to a temporary shelter where there were a couple other wayward souls waiting. Now, I have food, water and a piece of hope every day.As any puppy, I love to play. Though I am young yet, I have already learned how to walk well on leash. Pretty impressive, hunh? Well, let me tell you, I am an intelligent boy. That will make me pretty easy to train.Oh, I should mention, I am also very affectionate. I get along with other dogs quite well. People are on my list of joyous things. Children are fun to be around too. Since I live at a shelter, I have not yet learned housetraining, but I know I will pick it up fast. Most all of us rescues seem to grasp it readily. I'm no longer that helpless pup on a mat. I've grown into a sweet, smart, and playful boy.I walk proudly on a leash & listen to music like it’s magic and I've already told you about my anazing gaze into the camera. Movie dog in the making.I should be able to adapt to most homes. I just need adequate exercise, a place to lay my head on your lap, treats and lotsa love. I'm the loyal type, so hope you are ready for a buddy for life. Energy Level: moderateI get along with:Dogs: yesCats: unknownKids: yes Fears: none observed. Story
Hi there peeps. My name is GILAS (Cherry) and here is a little info about me:Breed: Labrador Retriever/Beagle/Jack Russell mix.Age: 3 yrsGender: FemaleWeight: 27 kg/60lbsHeight: 64 cmCountry of origin: Middle EastHighlight(s): Smart, loving, loyal, playful, gentle, calm Being a smart, loving girl who’s ready to brighten your home and your heart, my hope is to find a forever family soon and fill your life with warmth and goofy love. My eyes were once said to be as beautiful as sweet cherries by the kind people who fed me, and since 'Gilas' means Cherry in my language, that became my name! Once, a big yard with many furry friends was my home. When the area was destroyed for construction, we were all moved to a local park. It was scary, but making new human and dog friends helped.Sadly, life became dangerous when a bad man came and hit us. While I managed to run and hide, my best friend, Rottie, was taken away by dog catchers. Waiting for her for days was the most heartbreaking moment of my life, but she never came back.Since losing my best friend, strangers can be a little frightening at first. Thankfully, a wonderful rescuer saw me hiding and brought me to this safe boarding house, where I am now waiting for you. Loyal, playful, and deeply gentle, that’s me!Once trust is built with a little patience, my loving side shines right through.Being around people, enjoying outdoor walks, and learning new things are my favorite activities. Having a calm sweetness is my nature, but being part of family fun and playtime is what I live for.Pick things up fast? You bet! I’m an eager learner who thrives on positive reinforcement. Thriving on companionship, my only wish is to be included in my family’s daily life.An active family that enjoys walks and has a secure yard would be wonderful, but most of all, I need patient humans. Being a clean girl, I try my best to hold it until I’m taken outside, so a little routine will help me finish my house training in no time.Give me a little time to trust you, and I promise to be your most devoted friend. Energy Level: ModerateI get along with:Dogs: YesCats: UnknownKids: Yes Fears:Loud noises like fireworks. A little cautious with strangers at first.
