Our golden girl. Soulful green eyes and wants nothing more in life than to be with her person - especially with a good cuddle after a big play session outside. She is such a playful girl, loves to throw her kong around and to be outside. Big fan of teddy bears and stealing the slippers right off your feet. Would love a home with older children, but is a big bouncy goofball that might accidentally knock a little one over. She likes to play with other dogs, but can be a bit reactive on leash or when there is food involved. Goldie needs a confident owner to help her work through these things. She is learning to walk on a leash and to go potty outside, but both of these things are still a bit of a work in progress. All the best things always take a bit of work! And Goldie is the best!

This sweet girl is Bella, she was rescued off the streets in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico and is now in a foster home in Surrey, BC. Bella is between 1.5 and 2 years old, she weighs 40lbs. Bella is the sweetest pup you can imagine, she loves all people, loves to give kisses and get hugs and even get carried around. She seems to think herself to be a lapdog, in fact if you sit on the floor, she will climb on your lap and make herself comfortable on you. Bella is very smart, before her flight to BC she spent 6 weeks in a local foster home and her foster mom there said she taught her very easily the basic commands. Bella knows how to sit, down, get up, shake paw and turn around. She is ok walking on leash, but prefers a longer lead. Since she was living on the streets probably all her life before the rescue, she isn´t yet very used to being restricted, so she doesn´t feel fully comfortable yet on a very short leash. Bella loves to play with other dogs, but inside the home, she prefers to have her human(s) all to herself. She gets jealous and starts resource guarding her people. After not having had anyone who loved her for most of her life, we can´t really be mad at her for this, but she would be best suited as an only dog in the home. Bella chases after cats. And motorcycles and bicycles. Remnants from her life on the streets too. Bella loves the water, she hasn´t been fully swimming yet but loved walking through the shallow rivers in Puerto Vallarta. Oddly though, she is not a big fan of baths. She does love all food and is very food motivated, so with some treats she will learn many more tricks very quickly. Meet Sabre - the cutest ball of energy you ever did see! Sabre is a young, friendly dog who is looking for an adventure partner. As you can see by his picture, he thoroughly enjoys cooling off in his "kiddie pool".He is very active and would like his family to be the same. He does not yet have the best of manners but is excellent at sitting and getting his leash on. Sabre has so much potential to be the ideal Okanagan dog, and will thrive with a confident guardian to show him how much fun our mountain playground can be! Because of his vast amount of energy, he would be a prime candidate for agility and would likely thrive with some clicker training. He will likely do best in a home without young children but may do okay with older children who are comfortable around a strong dog. He may do well with a canine sibling, but a meet and greet is advised just to make sure friendship is present.
