Story
Spur is 4-5 years old. He is a very active Labrador Retriever Mix. He has some training as he will sit, lay down, and stay on command. He likes to jump a lot and will get so excited that he jumps all over you. He has a tail like a whip. He gets along with other dogs ok but needs time because he tries to exert his dominance. He would do better in a single dog family with a large yard to run because he loves to run. He has lived with us for about a year with his owner. His owner recently moved out and was not able to take Spur. Spur doesn’t get along well with our cats. Spur gets along with our other two dogs, father and son Australian Shepard Mixes. However, he tries to exert his dominance by picking fights with them from time to time when we offer them attention. He is a good dog but needs a better situation where he is the only pet in the house.

Story
4 years old, @35 lbs. House trained, good with dogs. Very good on a leash. Kenny is shy and needs more socializing and patience. He warms up with attention. And he loves to run and play. He came with a female 7 yr old Labrador who he was good friends with. He was more confident with her around, so he may do best with a dog pal in a new home. The previous owners said he is good with cats. He was much loved since a puppy by a wonderful senior couple who are very sad to now be without their 'babies' - they had to give the dogs up because of poor health.  *Note that young dogs and pure breeds are at the highest end of our prices.* Please find our applications and valuable information under  "Adopt a dog"* on our website:  *www.beaglesandbuddies.com* and email your application to beaglesandbuddies@gmail.com. Let us know your preference of appointment day/time and which dogs you are interested in and we will do our best to accommodate and email you the closest appointment available. Story
Beau is such a doll. His gorgeous eyes and sweet personality make him irresistible! He originally entered our care back in May of 2023 as a puppy that was the result on an accidental litter. He was then adopted and returned because his owners had to move and were unable to take him with. Beau does well with other dogs, but has never been around cats or kids so he would need slow introductions. He is very fun and playful, he loves to play with water. He is affectionate and smart- he knows sit and down. If you think Beau is the dog for you, stop in to meet him today! Volunteer: Beau is a fun goofy pup! He is big boy and so cuddly. He is a fun walk and with a little more work he will be amazing on a leash. He is great with other dogs and is really the life of the party!

Nash is a special "rescue only" dog who has bite experiences.  He will not be available until we have been able to work with him and feel comfortable in him meeting experienced adults. This posting is FYI only - He is 6 years young and 55 lbs. He has boundaries, but he's a fun-loving dog.  He cues when he's annoyed, so learning his cues and working patiently with him will alleviate a lot of prior behaviors.   He gets along well with other dogs [some don't get along with him, but he's been fine with them], and let's our volunteers cut his nails without a fuss.   NO APPOINTMENTS at this time.
