Ben and his brother Jerry were brought to YAPS in unfortunate circumstances- after feared abuse and neglect a good samaritan stepped in to give them a safe space. As they grew in size they became too large for the woman to handle so she reached out to YAPS to give them a fair shake at finding a furrever home. Ben is more outgoing and independent than his brother, and would prefer to be in an only pet home. He does like kids but he is strong and could use some training to build his confidence. If you are looking for a sweet, playful pup that just needs a chance to shine- he's your guy!

Born August 20. Fixed and fully vetted. Is a lab mix . Possibly lab spaniel. Potty trained, crate trained. Charlie was having some behavior issues with his family and they could not control him. He's doing really good now after being with a foster. He's not where he needs to be but he is still a 6month old puppy. He'll need work (training) for at least another year. Needs someone committed to working with him The breed listed is based on looks. There is no way to know breed types without a DNA test.

This sweet guy is a 7 year old black lab mix and is 65 lbs. of pure love! He is such a wonderful dog and very energetic! He loves to play fetch with his ball, loves hiking, is great with other dogs and good with kids. We don’t know how he is with cats. He also likes to go in the car. Ozzy has some separation anxiety but has been crate trained and has been doing much better. He will also run if given the chance so extra precautions should be taken. He will need to adjust to a new home but he is very smart! Ozzy’s ideal home is with an active person who will take him on walks/hikes for exercise, someone who works from home or is not gone a lot would be best! Ozzy would also love to have a dog sibling around to play with and keep him company. He would not do well as an apartment dog. He needs a house with a very secure fenced in yard.
