Story
We are needing to rehome this boy right here. He is very loved but unfortunately needs to be in a home with no small animals since he has a high prey drive, he has had incidents before with pets in the home. He’s been to a behaviorist trainer who has also commented on how great his demeanor is with humans, just not in a home with smaller animals. He really is great, trains easily, very food motivated, and love people/attention! He walks good on a leash, knows basic commands, and is house trained. He is good with kids and knows not to jump on them or adults since he is so big. He is also a huge couch potato and enjoys his comfort and sleep very much and is a large goofy boy. He isn’t a lap dog, he enjoys his attention from you and being pet but prefers to go off and sleep on his own. If you are interested shoot me a message but I want to make sure that it’s a good home and will be thorough, since he is large.

Story
We are super busy with a toddler and a new baby and we just can’t find time to give our wonderful dog. He is so smart and playful. He jumps fences and unfortunately we don’t have time to get him trained on that but we think that with the right person, he can correct that behavior. Besides that he has no issues.

Meet your new best friend. This handsome white Lab mix is just 1 year old, about 40 pounds, and ready for the loving future he has always deserved. Though his past wasn’t kind to him, it hasn’t touched his gentle spirit. Beneath it all is the sweetest, most tender heart — a boy who simply wants to love and be loved. Dexter is incredibly cuddly and happiest when he’s curled up close to his person, soaking in the safety and comfort he missed before. He walks beautifully on leash without pulling, as if he’s just grateful to be by your side. Playtime with his toys brings out his joyful, puppy side, and his bright mind makes him a quick learner who truly wants to please. Like many young dogs, he has a playful spark and will flourish with an active home that can give him exercise both mentally and physically, guidance, and structure. Once he bonds with you, it’s with his whole heart. His loyalty runs deep. Because of his difficult past, he can struggle at times with being left alone. He will thrive in a home where someone is around more often, or with a family dedicated to continuing his journey toward confidence and security. More than anything, Dexter just needs reassurance that he’s finally safe — and that this time, it’s forever. If you’re searching for a devoted companion who will look at you like you’re his whole world, this sweet boy may just be the one. This goofy, happy boy is full of personality and always seems to be in great spirits! About Zorro •          Great with everyone – humans, kids, cats, dogs… even goats! He treats goats just like another dog friend. •          Not an alpha – he’s easygoing and happy to let others take the lead. •          Goofy & joyful – Zorro has the cutest habit of doing a little hop straight up in the air when he gets excited because he knows he’s not supposed to jump on people. It’s hard not to smile around him! •          Leash work in progress – he’s been on leash but will benefit from continued guidance and consistency. •          House training in progress – Zorro previously lived as a kenneled dog, so he’s learning the ropes of home life and making progress every day. Zorro doesn’t seem to dislike much of anything — he approaches life with a happy, playful attitude and a heart ready to bond with his people. And don’t let those flecks of grey fool you — they just give him a little extra character and show off his mature side. He’s looking for a forever family that will continue his training, provide structure, and enjoy his sweet, silly personality as much as his foster does.  If you’d like to learn more about Zorro, please fill out an adoption application today. His forever home is out there — maybe it’s yours. www.labrescuefresno.org If you are interested in adopting through Labrador Retriever Rescue of Fresno, you must first fill out an Adoption Application located at our website www.LabRescueFresno.org All dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccines including rabies; flea/tick topical drops, heartworm tested and microchipped.
