Woodie is the name and having fun is my game! I was found as a stray by a good samaritan in our community who has partnered with LRRF to help me find my forever home! I am a fun-loving, super social, happy-go-lucky cowpoke just looking for that special family to bestow all my love on! I am a people person and can’t wait to have a family of my very own to love. I am one happy pup! I love people of all ages and I am great with kids. I truly love human interaction and thrive with attention from my people. I am great with other dogs too! Really, I just want to be friends with everyone! Except I am not too sure about making a feline friend…I am pretty bouncy and high-energy so I may be a bit much for a cat. I looooove to play and have fun! Let’s play fetch, go for a jog, a hike, whatever! And when the fun & games are over, let’s snuggle up and you can tell me all about your day while you pet my soft fluffy fur. My people are of utmost importance to me and I always do my best to make you happy. I am pretty quiet and don’t bark often, I just express my joy with lots of tail-wagging! I am crate-trained and working hard on my house-training. I am not a big fan of swimming, but I am a big fan of playing, so let’s play ball!! Woodie is a super sweet and social pup who will be a fantastic family dog. He centers his world on his people and is extremely friendly to all! Sure, Woodie may not be a purebred Labrador, but his heart is 100% classic loyal Labrador! Woodie is an energetic young dog, and like all young Labbies, he will need a family who is committed to exercising and playing with him daily and who will attend training classes with him to ensure a lifetime of good behavior. Woodie is full of happy vibes and is sure to bring a smile to your face and warm your heart with his sunny disposition. My name is Bruce Almighty, but maybe it should be Clifford instead! Like the famous Clifford the Big Red Dog who is devoted to his dear Emily Elizabeth, I am a big black dog who is totally devoted to my people. Unlike Clifford, who grew up with his forever family since he was a pup, I had a rather unfortunate start in life, and was found in the mountains as an underweight stray. With some help from my guardian angels, I made my way to LRRF and I am loving life again!  Now I am ready to find my own forever family to devote my big heart to – could it be you? Like Clifford, I aim to please and always try my best to bring a smile to my peoples’ faces. I have not had the benefit of training classes in my younger years, but I am treat- and praise- motivated which makes me easy to train. I have already learned sit, basic leash manners, and I’m kennel-trained – not too shabby, right?! I am a simple mellow guy – I just want to be with my people. Hikes, beach trips, trips to the coffee shop, or just some sweet cuddles on the couch, I am up for it all! I am a big boy, and while I am not quite large enough to ride like Emily Elizabeth rides Clifford, I am the perfect size for giant hugs. I get along well with other dogs (I do favor other female dogs) but for me, it is my people that matter most. I did not get much love from people in my early years, so I have to make up for lost time! Bruce is a big ol’ hunk of love who just wants to be a part of the family. He has a laid-back mellow energy and is well past that notorious Labrador puppy stage. Bruce is all about his people and is a fabulous companion. He has not met a cat yet, so a feline-free home would be best. While he does get along with other dogs and particularly enjoys the company of female dogs, his main priority is his people so he would be totally fine as an only dog. Bruce prefers not to share his food dish with other dogs after experiencing starvation, but it is very simple to feed dogs separately. Bruce has learned a few basic commands in his foster home and would love to learn more with his forever family. He is full of love and ready to devote all that love to his forever family! Apply to adopt today at www.labrescuefresno.org to make this gentle giant a member of your family! Spending time in the peaceful foothills, with 2 foster fails with a similar story as mine. The management here tells me I’m a good girl, they say I’m always happy and get along with everything going on here, even the cat likes me. I like sleeping in my crate every night, and I’m quickly getting used to the routine. I’m packing a couple of extra pounds, but with exercise and cutting back on the feed bag, I feel the weight falling off. I didn’t get much leash training before, but the leash means something good is going to happen. I’m getting better at going for rides in the truck, good things happen now. I’m just learning about dog toys and bones; I see my 2 dog roommates enjoying them and I see what I’ve been missing. I have a soft mouth with treats and love attention. I kinda know sit and a few other commands, I’m eager to learn and please. I have a laid-back attitude but I’m young enough to want to run around and play too. I’m not too picky, I could be a good only-dog or happy to have a canine friend or 2, I don’t depend on a dog buddy. I think I would do my best in a less hectic home with older children. I’m told that a lot of dogs that end up in rescues these days, can have a lot of trouble adapting to new situations. The manager trainee here tells me I’m almost normal! Well, I’d like to be almost adopted, who wants a dog without a bunch of drama, that just wants to fit in.  Billie is a total sweetheart girl looking for her forever family. She loves to please and be with people. Exercise and training will go a long way to ensure her successful transition to a family member. If you have room in your heart and home for beautiful Billie, please fill out an adoption application at www.labrescuefresno.org If you have already submitted an application for another LRRF dog, simply reply to the volunteer who responded and follow the directions in red. Hi, my name is Misty, you know, like the color of “mist”. I was found running around the fields in Visalia. I stayed in this pretty scary and noisy place called a shelter for a while, hoping my family would come for me and they didn’t. So, this great rescuer of dogs came and got me. I was very shut down and didn’t like that shelter place, so I was excited to get out. I have been at my foster moms’ house for a while now and I just love being able to sleep on a comfortable bed and play with my foster 4-legged brother. I do like it here, but I would really love a forever family to call my own. Maybe it could be you? Since I have been with my foster mom, I have learned lots of things, I sleep all night on my bed and behave. I will go in the crate if you need me to, but I have learned that if I don’t bother with stuff, I can have the house to myself when mom must go to work or run errands. My canine foster brother is cool and taught me how to use the doggy door so I do my business outside, which is pretty awesome. It does take me a bit longer than some other dogs to feel at ease with new people. After all I have been through, it just takes me a while to trust that new people will be kind to me. But please be patient with me, I will get there, I promise! Now that I am comfortable in my foster home, I simply adore my foster family. My favorite place to be is under my foster mom’s desk at her feet when she works from home. Just seems to be the best and then I can nap while I am close to my foster mom which always makes me feel good. I am getting better and better every day at walking on a leash and other commands. Every time I do something good, I get a tasty treat, wow this is amazing! I love to learn new things and I’m ready to learn even more! Wanna go to training classes with me? Oh please, let’s go, it will be great fun and I will get lots of treats, hooray! Misty is a very sweet and energetic girl looking for that perfect home. It does take her longer than most to become comfortable with new people, so she will need a forever family who can give her the time and space she needs to adjust to her new home. That patience will pay off though, as once Misty feels comfortable and trusts you, she blooms into such a devoted love bug! Misty is great with other dogs, but does not care for feline friends. She would also be best in a home without children or with older children/teens who can understand she will need several weeks to get adjusted to her new people and routine. Misty is a fun-loving sweetie who will fill your life with love, apply to make this gorgeous pup a member of your family at www.labrescuefresno.org! He lets them hop all over him while he sleeps in their coop. He has good house manners.   Although he is crate trained, he is not a fan of the crate and has proven himself trustworthy to roam free in the house when left alone with his foster dogs.   Bruno will need patience to gain confidence and learn more about living in a home. The new sounds and activities in a house.  He will thrive in a peaceful home with consistent training where he can build confidence.  Sweet Bruno is an amazingly loving dog who will make an awesome companion for some lucky family. Hello, I’d like to introduce myself. My name is Helena which means “shining light” and I would like to be your shining light to a happy future together! I’m a great size, kind of compact but full of energy and ready for fun. My favorite game of all is fetch.  I will retrieve the ball for as long as you’re willing to throw it, however long that might be. My second favorite is tummy rubs.  I also enjoy cooling off in the garden sprinkler between runs. I was found alone, wandering in the country, hopelessly lost. Luckily, I was found but I ended up in doggie jail. It wasn’t very long when the wonderful folks from the Labrador Retriever Rescue of Fresno bailed me out. I have been living with a great foster family while they look for a forever home for me. I have a poodle mix foster brother and a Toy Aussie foster sister. I was a little slow to warm up to them but we are quite comfortable now. I rest and sleep quietly in my crate. I am house trained and walk like a pro on a leash. My foster mom is helping me learn some of the basics that I have missed. I can now wait for food and water and to exit the crate. Sitting is coming along as is the down command. She’s very impressed at how smart I am. From her foster mom:  Helena was slow to warm up to us at first. She was very stressed as is common from dogs coming from the shelter. She now just falls asleep at my feet. She just wants to be with you all the time. She follows me everywhere. She is an overall sweet dog. It took her a few days to feel comfortable with my dogs but we are all having a wonderful time together. She is very full of energy and ready to go anytime. All that’s missing is her very own forever family. If you think she would be perfect to round out your clan, please fill out an Adoption Application at www.labrescuefresno.org and tell them you would like to meet Helena. MAGGIE MAY DOB: 01.01.2021* 49.0 lbs (as of 08/05/2021) We are not sure exactly what Maggie past is but she is very timid. She is young and beautiful. She drops to the ground any time someone reaches out to pet her. Very submissive and quiet. Vet agrees that she is about 8 months old and believes Labrador is her primary breed. She is still timid in new situations. As with all Paw Printz dogs, we will provide free training, if any is needed in her new home, and we will take her back at any time if it doesn’t work out for any reason. If you think Maggie would be the perfect addition to your home, send an email to: PawPrintzRescue@gmail.com and request an application. Adoption Fee: $200 Adoption Requirements: Application, Interview, Homecheck THIS DOG IS LOCATED NEAR FRESNO, CA *Age is always a guess with rescue dogs but here at Paw Printz we believe everyone should have a birth day so when the vet guesses at their age, we work out what would be a good birthday for each dog and make it so!

Story
2-year-old Pit/Lab mix Sora is a high energy dog who loves to play and gets super excited anytime she gets to go on walks. She has been tested and does well with children over the age of 5. Sora was surrendered to us in July of 2021 after her owner realized she needed more attention and training than they could provide since they also had another dog. Although Sora does well with other dogs so far at the shelter, we strongly recommend her to be adopted into a home where she is the only pet. Because of her young age and her high energy, her future home will need to spend dedicated time with her for training. With patience and guidance, we know Sora can be a great addition to anyone's family. If you are interested in meeting Sora, please submit an application at www.valleyanimal.org. He’s playful and good with other dogs. Parker would love to become the newest addition to your home/family. Story
Hi! My name is Wiglett. I am a very happy puppy. I am full of energy. I love to wrestle with small toys and tug on pant legs. I am not very tall but I can reach and play tug-o-war with your pants or shirt. I am teething so I will chew on a variety of things. I am always accepting of food. I love to eat and then poop. I love to drink water and then pee. I am not potty trained to go outside. I am an indoor puppy for now. I go potty on the homemade washable pads my foster mommy made. I don't mind being picked up and held. I give puppy kisses if you let me. I am looking for my furever family. Is it you? A word from my foster mommy...... Hi, my name is Anna. I am fostering this handsome little guy. He is just so adorable. He has an easy going side and an energetic side. It's hard to say which one is better. Yes, I love it when he is calm and relaxed. This side makes him more lovable. When he is full of energy, he is super fun to watch as he runs around learning how to move around slippery tile. It's all safe fun. At this age, he can make playing with any toy look like it is the best toy ever. He is off to a good start with potty training (always hits the pee pad). He has a good appetite a good personality and will make a great companion. Wiglett will not be available to go home until Sept. 29, 2023. However, I am accepting applications for him now. If you would like to be considered for him, please submit an online application for him. If you are not on Animal Compassion Team's website, visit us at www.animalcompassionteam.com Only an approved application will be allowed to meet him. I will be emailing any applicants who submit an application so please check your email for a message from me If you wish to contact me, email me at anna@animalcompassionteam.com Thank you for your interest in my foster puppy
