I’m Kuia, a Lab mix brimming with love and enthusiasm! I’m an active girl who thrives on running, playing ball, and soaking up every fun moment with my people. My tail wags like crazy when I meet new folks, and my big, beautiful smile is guaranteed to light up your day! I get along wonderfully with other dogs and tolerate cats and small animals with ease. I’m crate trained, house trained, and super food-motivated, which makes training a fun adventure! My manners are a work in progress due to my excitement—especially when I first see you or new friends—but once I settle down, I’m a polite and well-behaved lady. I’m still perfecting my leash skills, but with a few treats and a little guidance, I’m eager to shine. I adore being close to my people, leaning in for pets and cuddles, and I’d thrive in a home where I can shower my family with affection. Whether it’s a lively game of fetch, a neighborhood walk, or cozying up together, I’m happiest by your side. I’d do great with or without other dogs, as long as I get plenty of love and attention. Introducing:  Legend, Wonder, Jackson, Barry, Prince, Marvin, Teddy, and Usher — Gracie's handsome little gentlemen! These 8-week-old puppies are the sons of Gracie, a beautiful black Labrador. As for dad? We've asked repeatedly, but Gracie isn't giving up any information! These boys are absolutely adorable, and we're especially smitten with the white socks some of them are sporting. They are affectionate, playful, sweet, and just the right amount of puppy mischief all rolled into one. They're doing great with potty training, although we fully expect a few accidents as they continue to learn. Water is their favorite thing—whether it's the hose, a puppy pool, or even their water dish, they're in it! They're very typical puppies who spend their days playing hard, exploring, napping, and looking for someone to love. The Motown Boys will be ready for their forever homes around the 4th of July, when they'll be approximately 11 weeks old. Before applying, please remember that puppies are a long-term commitment. They will chew things, make messes, dig holes, steal socks, and test your patience—but they'll also fill your home with laughter, love, and unforgettable memories. If you're ready for the adventure and commitment of raising a puppy, please fill out an adoption application at: www.labrescuefresno.org If you are interested in adopting through Labrador Retriever Rescue of Fresno, you must first fill out an Adoption Application located at our website www.LabRescueFresno.org All dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccines including rabies; flea/tick topical drops, heartworm tested and microchipped. Baby and Sugar are looking for their forever home together. They have been together their entire lives and share a very special bond, so they must be adopted as a pair. These sweet girls were obviously free-fed and not given much exercise in their previous home, and unfortunately, this is the result. The good news is that they are already on their journey to better health! With nutritious meals and regular exercise, both girls have lost nearly 15 pounds and continue to slim down and thrive. Baby and Sugar love the water, enjoy chasing after a ball, and you should see them run! Their playful personalities are shining through more every day as they become healthier and more active. Both girls are house-trained, do well on leash, and have never met a stranger—human or animal. They are absolute delights to have around and adore attention, pets, and being part of the family. If you're looking for a pair of loving, loyal companions to fill your home with happiness, laughter, and unconditional love, Baby and Sugar may be the perfect match for you. Double the Labs, double the love, and twice the joy—Baby and Sugar are ready to make one lucky family complete. Meet Pepper — a sweet, loyal girl with a heart as big as her beautiful brown eyes. At 8 years old, she’s left the puppy chaos behind but still has plenty of pep in her step and so much love to give. Pepper absolutely adores people and wants nothing more than to be close to her humans. Whether she’s splashing in the pool, playing fetch, enjoying tummy rubs, or posing politely for treats, she’s happiest simply being loved. She’s a smart girl with good house manners, takes treats gently, and enjoys the simple things in life — especially chicken and rice, apples, and cuddle time. While Pepper has played with dogs her size before, she’s reached the stage in life where she’d really prefer to be your one and only. She wants all the love, attention, and cozy moments to herself. We do not know how she is with cats. Pepper may pull a little on leash at first, but with patience and consistency, she settles in beautifully. She’s the perfect balance of playful and calm — ready for walks, toys, water fun, and then relaxing by your side afterward. Going to the beach? She’s your girl!! Senior black dogs are so often overlooked, but Pepper deserves a family who sees just how special she is. She’s loyal, affectionate, soulful, and ready to spend her golden years being someone’s best friend. If you’d like to know more about Pepper or give this wonderful girl the forever home she deserves, please reach out to www.labrescuefresno.org and ask for Pepper! Are you ready for Summer? How about starting it off with a new canine companion? We have the perfect guy for you. Tyson came to the Labrador Retriever Rescue of Fresno when he was just 3 days old, along with his mother and 5 siblings, after they were found in a porta-potty. Tyson gets along well with other dogs having been raised in foster homes with multiple dogs. He has not been introduced to cats, so we cannot guarantee he would be feline-friendly. He is good with everything, including kids, according to his foster. Although he is presently very shy when meeting new people, with patience and a little time, Tyson warms up and is a “sweetheart” according to his fosters. The most important thing a new family will need with Tyson is patience and love while he settles in to a new home and learns to trust. Tyson is crate-trained, potty trained and doggie-door trained. He likes to travel with his family and has been on two camping trips recently where he was very well behaved, as well as trips to the beach. His leash skills are improving and his fosters are also working with him on basic commands. He likes playing with his toys, and while he may “fetch” a ball, that does not necessarily mean bringing it back. If you would like to learn more and think Tyson might be a fit for your family, please visit our website at https://labrescuefresno.org and submit your application to adopt. She is affectionate, curious, and loves being with her people. Dottie is doing wonderfully with all the puppy basics and is eager to learn and please. She is house-trained, crate-trained, and making great progress with her leash manners every day. While she is still building confidence on walks and prefers to stay close to her sister, she is learning more each day and will continue to thrive with patience and encouragement. Dottie is wonderful with children and adores visitors, greeting everyone with her happy, loving personality. She has not shown any interest in bothering the resident cats and remains calm around them, although direct interactions have been limited since the cats prefer to keep their distance. Smart, active, and full of potential, Dottie would do best with a family that can provide plenty of love, structure, training, and opportunities for fun and adventure. A home with room to run, play, and continue learning would be ideal for this bright, energetic girl. With an energy level of 7/10, she enjoys being active but also loves spending time with her people. Dottie is ready to become a cherished member of a family that will help her continue to blossom into the amazing dog she is meant to be. Apply for Dottie at www.labrescuefresno.org ❤️ Birdie – 29.5 lbs. Birdie is a fun-loving, energetic puppy with a big personality and an even bigger heart! She is curious, expressive, and loves being part of whatever her people are doing. Alert and intelligent, Birdie is always ready for the next adventure but never turns down cuddle time. This affectionate girl absolutely loves snuggling and being close to her family. She is house-trained, crate-trained, and continues to improve on the leash every day. While most of her leash experience has been on her foster family's property, she is gaining confidence and learning quickly. Birdie would thrive with an active family that can provide plenty of exercise, training, structure, and affection to help her reach her full potential. Birdie is fantastic with children and adores visitors—she truly loves everyone she meets! Her experience with other dogs outside of her sister is limited, so slow introductions will help set her up for success. She is also making great progress around cats. While she may bark at them initially, she responds well to redirection, settles quickly, and is learning appropriate manners. With an energy level of 8/10, Birdie would love a home with room to run, play, and explore. She is a sweet, silly, affectionate girl who is sure to bring laughter, love, and endless joy to the lucky family that welcomes her home.
