F - 2 years old - Black Labrador Retriever Mix - Blossom is pure energy with a heart full of love! Everything she does is full speed. Whether she’s running, playing, or tugging on the leash, she approaches life with total enthusiasm. And she LOVES treats. They’re the perfect way to help this high-octane girl focus and learn a few tricks along the way. But don’t let her hyper side fool you. Once she settles down, she’s a total cuddle bug. When she's calm, she enjoys leaning into her people and soaking up pets, showing off her affectionate, trusting, and sweet nature. Blossom is looking for a family who can match her energy, give her plenty of exercise, and share in her love for playtime and cuddle time. ADOPT To adopt, come see us! Story
M - 2 years old - Labrador Retriever Mix - Oakley is the definition of a lovable goofball. He absolutely adores people and gets so excited to meet new friends that he sometimes forgets just how big he is. His favorite way to say hello is throwing his body into yours for a giant hug and showering you with affection. We’re helping him work on his manners so he can keep all that enthusiasm without accidentally knocking anyone over in the process. Underneath all that excitement is a truly sweet, people-loving dog who just wants to be involved in everything. Oakley recently got to spend some time in the spotlight during a news appearance, and he handled it like a champ, soaking up the attention and charming everyone he met. ADOPT To adopt, come see us! I’m Kuia, a Lab mix brimming with love and enthusiasm! I’m an active girl who thrives on running, playing ball, and soaking up every fun moment with my people. My tail wags like crazy when I meet new folks, and my big, beautiful smile is guaranteed to light up your day! I get along wonderfully with other dogs and tolerate cats and small animals with ease. I’m crate trained, house trained, and super food-motivated, which makes training a fun adventure! My manners are a work in progress due to my excitement—especially when I first see you or new friends—but once I settle down, I’m a polite and well-behaved lady. I’m still perfecting my leash skills, but with a few treats and a little guidance, I’m eager to shine. I adore being close to my people, leaning in for pets and cuddles, and I’d thrive in a home where I can shower my family with affection. Whether it’s a lively game of fetch, a neighborhood walk, or cozying up together, I’m happiest by your side. I’d do great with or without other dogs, as long as I get plenty of love and attention. Meet Pepper — a sweet, loyal girl with a heart as big as her beautiful brown eyes. At 8 years old, she’s left the puppy chaos behind but still has plenty of pep in her step and so much love to give. Pepper absolutely adores people and wants nothing more than to be close to her humans. Whether she’s splashing in the pool, playing fetch, enjoying tummy rubs, or posing politely for treats, she’s happiest simply being loved. She’s a smart girl with good house manners, takes treats gently, and enjoys the simple things in life — especially chicken and rice, apples, and cuddle time. While Pepper has played with dogs her size before, she’s reached the stage in life where she’d really prefer to be your one and only. She wants all the love, attention, and cozy moments to herself. We do not know how she is with cats. Pepper may pull a little on leash at first, but with patience and consistency, she settles in beautifully. She’s the perfect balance of playful and calm — ready for walks, toys, water fun, and then relaxing by your side afterward. Going to the beach? She’s your girl!! Senior black dogs are so often overlooked, but Pepper deserves a family who sees just how special she is. She’s loyal, affectionate, soulful, and ready to spend her golden years being someone’s best friend. If you’d like to know more about Pepper or give this wonderful girl the forever home she deserves, please reach out to www.labrescuefresno.org and ask for Pepper! Are you ready for Summer? How about starting it off with a new canine companion? We have the perfect guy for you. Tyson came to the Labrador Retriever Rescue of Fresno when he was just 3 days old, along with his mother and 5 siblings, after they were found in a porta-potty. Tyson gets along well with other dogs having been raised in foster homes with multiple dogs. He has not been introduced to cats, so we cannot guarantee he would be feline-friendly. He is good with everything, including kids, according to his foster. Although he is presently very shy when meeting new people, with patience and a little time, Tyson warms up and is a “sweetheart” according to his fosters. The most important thing a new family will need with Tyson is patience and love while he settles in to a new home and learns to trust. Tyson is crate-trained, potty trained and doggie-door trained. He likes to travel with his family and has been on two camping trips recently where he was very well behaved, as well as trips to the beach. His leash skills are improving and his fosters are also working with him on basic commands. He likes playing with his toys, and while he may “fetch” a ball, that does not necessarily mean bringing it back. If you would like to learn more and think Tyson might be a fit for your family, please visit our website at https://labrescuefresno.org and submit your application to adopt.
