Hi my name is care bear! I am two years old and can get along with anyone. My best friend jazz and I are in need of rehoming :) we love to play and stick by each others sides. She’s happiest when she’s around people and thrives on companionship, cuddles, and a good game of fetch. Bath time? Pool time? She loves it! And when it comes to food, chicken and rice is her absolute favorite—though she’s also a big fan of apples. This clever girl knows how to mind her manners at home, loves treats, takes them gently, and will happily strike a pose for a snack. Pepper has enjoyed some playtime with dogs her size, but at this stage of her life she really just wants to soak up all the love and attention for herself. She would do best as the only dog in the home. We do not know about cats. Pepper still has some pep in her step, but not the overwhelming energy of a puppy. She enjoys toys, tummy rubs, and splashing in water. She does pull on the leash a bit (she’s used to a harness), but with a little patience, guidance and love, she’ll walk right into your heart. Pepper is a truly sweet soul looking for a forever home where she can relax, play, and be loved. If you would like to know more about Pepper, please fill out an adoption application.   If you are interested in adopting through Labrador Retriever Rescue of Fresno, you must first fill out an Adoption Application located at our website www.LabRescueFresno.org All dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccines including rabies; flea/tick topical drops, heartworm tested and microchipped. Koa lives for affection — she’ll happily sit on your foot, slowly slide to the floor, and dramatically flop over to demand belly rubs. One of her many nicknames is “Speed Bump,” and once you meet her, you’ll understand why. Koa loves to play fetch and tug and is often found proudly walking around the house with a ball in her mouth. She’s also an avid chewer and enjoys moose and deer antlers (no rawhide here!), which has helped keep her teeth impressively clean. At bedtime, Koa settles right in, sleeping through the night on her bed after enjoying her nightly treat. She walks well on leash, especially with her foster brother Ricky, and enjoys playing with dogs her own size. Koa is social, affectionate, and happiest when she’s near her person — following her foster around the house and yard and laying close whenever possible. Koa’s journey hasn’t been easy. Her former owner did not address her ongoing pain and discomfort until it became an emergency, at which point Lab Rescue stepped in. Koa was suffering from bladder stones that required urgent surgery. She underwent surgery over Thanksgiving and spent a week hospitalized, followed by several months of medication and pain management. Thankfully, she has recovered well and is feeling so much better. Going forward, Koa will need to remain on a prescription diet to prevent the stones from recurring. At just 8 years old, this sweet senior still has plenty of pep in her step. Koa is simply looking for a comfortable home, consistent care, and people who will love her the way she deserves. If you’re interested in learning more about sweet Koa, please fill out an application at: www.labrescuefresno.org If you are interested in adopting through Labrador Retriever Rescue of Fresno, you must first fill out an Adoption Application located at our website www.LabRescueFresno.org All dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccines including rabies; flea/tick topical drops, heartworm tested and microchipped. Ruby is a lovable, energetic girl who enjoys being part of the family. She’s wonderful with both adults and children and is fully potty trained. At night she sleeps either in her crate or on her dog bed by your side, happy just to be close. She loves her daily walks and walks nicely on leash without pulling. Ruby knows basic commands like sit, stay, and leave it, and she’s eager to keep learning. She’s just starting to figure out how fun playing ball can be! She has a playful, active personality and will thrive with a confident owner who can provide structure and leadership. Ruby needs to be the only pet in the home — no other dogs or cats — so she can feel secure, relaxed and soak up all the love. On walks, she may react to other dogs if they bark at her, so she’ll do best with continued guidance and training in those situations. When left alone for a few hours, she relaxes quietly on the couch or a chair until you return. She’s a strong chewer but sticks to her own toys — a big plus! Ruby has recently discovered her voice and will howl along with fire engine sirens, which only adds to her charm. She’s a sweet, affectionate girl who wants to please and is very trainable. With consistency and love, she’ll make a wonderful companion. I’m Kuia, a Lab mix brimming with love and enthusiasm! I’m an active girl who thrives on running, playing ball, and soaking up every fun moment with my people. My tail wags like crazy when I meet new folks, and my big, beautiful smile is guaranteed to light up your day! I get along wonderfully with other dogs and tolerate cats and small animals with ease. I’m crate trained, house trained, and super food-motivated, which makes training a fun adventure! My manners are a work in progress due to my excitement—especially when I first see you or new friends—but once I settle down, I’m a polite and well-behaved lady. I’m still perfecting my leash skills, but with a few treats and a little guidance, I’m eager to shine. I adore being close to my people, leaning in for pets and cuddles, and I’d thrive in a home where I can shower my family with affection. Whether it’s a lively game of fetch, a neighborhood walk, or cozying up together, I’m happiest by your side. I’d do great with or without other dogs, as long as I get plenty of love and attention. The Duchess of Playfulness and Athleticism is ready to find her forever family. She’s a beautifully all-black, muscular build of approx. 60lbs and just nearly 12 months. With hazel eyes as round as marbles and all labby looks, this girl is ready for the royal ball. (Quite literally, she loves to retrieve!) Duchess is looking for a family with any age children, dogs, or cats… as long as they are ready to hit the road on many adventures. Or an owner that will keep her enthusiasm entertained with lots to do. Like most dogs of royalty, she is the center of attention and thinks all children are puppies like her- ready to jump, chase, play and lick. She loves to smother infants and toddlers and that affection can get Duchess ready for wild jumps- so keep a close eye. Tug of war is a favorite past time and she respects her humans’ toys, as long as they are put away and clean. She expects her meals delivered strictly to her crate where she gladly sits to wait, however, scarfing down those meals is no problem. She’s respectful to other dogs during meal time as well, but will do cartwheels for snacks and treats - once even leaping over her very large foster brother! Duchess has a strong nose, so sniffing out goodies is her specialty. Duchess enjoys a leashed walk, and does best with routine and strict, consistent rules. Watch out around open doors because she likes to escape the castle once in a while. Cats are no bother to her but fun to watch…unfortunately Duchess energy is far beyond kitten tolerance. She is best in the outdoors where she can let her hair down, balanced with a good snuggle on a lap or couch. She has mastered crate sleeping, sit, and lay down. And like her other Labrador constituents, Duchess will require ongoing manners and refinement training.
