Story
Meet Rudi – Gentle, Loving, and Looking for His Safe Place  Rudi is the kind of dog who will quietly steal your heart. He’s a sweet, sensitive soul who lights up around other dogs. Confident and joyful in their company, Rudi truly comes alive when he has a dog buddy by his side—someone to play with, follow, and learn from. He would thrive in a home with a confident canine sibling who can help show him that the world isn’t so scary. Around the people he knows and trusts, Rudi is gentle, loyal, and incredibly affectionate. He’ll happily curl up next to you, follow you from room to room, and be your quiet little shadow. One of his favorite things is watching animals on TV—he’ll perk up and watch with genuine interest, and he’s always ready to settle in for a cozy movie night. Rudi also thrives at doggy daycare and boarding. He absolutely loves being around other pups and does incredibly well in a structured, social environment. He even knows the word “camp”—and when he hears it, his ears perk up and his tail wags with excitement. It’s his happy place. But Rudi is still learning to feel secure in new situations. Meeting new people or being left alone can be tough for him right now. He’s not destructive—just uncertain—and needs time, patience, and understanding as he builds confidence. For that reason, he’d do best in a calm, stable home with minimal visitors and someone who’s around most of the time—maybe a retired person, someone who works from home, or a family with flexibility and a lot of heart. Rudi would love:  A dog sibling to guide him and keep him company  A secure yard where he can explore at his own pace  A peaceful home with routines and patience  A soft spot on the couch for animal shows and movies  Regular trips to “camp” (daycare/boarding) where he can socialize and play  A person or family committed to helping him grow in confidence Rudi doesn’t need perfection—just someone who sees him for who he is, and who’s willing to go slowly, with love. In the right home, with the right support, Rudi has so much love to give. He’s already on his way—and he just needs someone to walk beside him ##2191675##

Story
SuperNova is as magical as her name suggests. This beautiful black lab mix has a heart full of love just waiting to bloom — she’s incredibly sweet, gentle, and eager to connect. But right now, the world feels like a very big, very scary place to her. Shy SuperNova has had a rough start. While we don’t know much about her life before originally landing in the shelter, we do know she was adopted by a family with some land earlier in the year. Unfortunately she escaped just a couple days later and was lost and alone in the woods for several weeks before being found. As a result, she will need a calm, patient adopter who can help her regain confidence and trust one small step at a time. She’s making progress every day, especially with the help of other dogs in the home. That’s why another well-adjusted dog is required — she relies on canine companions to show her that life can be safe and even fun. She’s already beginning to understand house training by watching and following the lead of her doggy friends. She also likes cats! Because she startles easily and is still working on feeling secure, SuperNova must have a fully fenced yard (6ft minimum) and a low-traffic home environment is preferred to start. Leash training is a work in progress, so yard access is essential while she gains confidence. If you have a soft spot for the underdog and the patience to help a shy girl blossom, SuperNova will reward you with loyalty, trust, and the kind of love that only comes from a dog who’s learned how to feel safe in your arms. ##2417591##

Meet Samantha! If you’re looking for an easygoing, lowmaintenance companion who brings calm and comfort into any home, Samantha is your girl. This sweet, gentle pup is a certified couch potato who’s happiest lounging beside her people and soaking up all the belly rubs she can get. Samantha is wonderfully wellmannered—she walks beautifully on a leash, is fully housebroken, and sleeps soundly through the night in her crate. Around other animals, she’s politely indifferent and prefers to mind her own business, making her a great fit for a variety of home environments. She’s the kind of dog who settles in effortlessly and makes every day feel a little softer, a little cozier, and a lot more loving. Whether you’re a firsttime dog owner or a seasoned pet parent, Samantha is the kind of companion who just fits. If you’re ready to welcome a calm, affectionate, and easy dog into your life, Samantha is waiting to meet you. ##2608846##

Story
Maple is the smallest of a litter of 12 and comes from a very difficult start in life. She and her siblings were born into a feral situation in Texas and were humanely trapped one by one over several weeks. Because of this, Maple is naturally shy, cautious, and still learning that people and new environments are safe. Maple is very much a slow burn and will need a patient, understanding home willing to give her time—several weeks at minimum—to adjust and decompress. She is still very fearful and will often hide under the bed or move away quickly when approached. She is not yet comfortable taking treats directly from people. If food is placed nearby, she will cautiously come forward to eat, but she will retreat if someone is too close. She absolutely loves other dogs and has been very well socialized with them, including her foster’s personal dogs. Maple gains confidence by following the lead of other dogs, and a calm, friendly canine companion in the home would be ideal to help her feel secure. Her crate is her safe space, and she is crate trained. She may cry briefly when first crated, but she settles and recovers quickly. Maple is not yet house trained and has not learned to use the doggie door. At this time, the door needs to be left open for her. With consistency, routine, and patience, she will continue to progress at her own pace. Maple has not been around kids or cats, so a quiet, adult-only home or one with dog-savvy older teens would be best. Several of her siblings were also fearful at first but are now thriving in their adoptive homes, showing how much these pups can blossom once they feel safe. One of Maple’s sisters took about two weeks to warm up and is now a confident, happy girl. Maple is looking for a calm, loving home with realistic expectations and a big heart for shy dogs. Watching her learn to trust will take time, but for the right adopter, the reward will be incredible. If you believe in meeting a dog where they are and celebrating small victories, Maple just might be your perfect match.  ##2608969##
