Story
Diamond is a one-year-old Labrador Retriever who sparkles with energy, personality, and affection. This joyful girl adores car rides (windows down, ears flapping), happily trots along on leash, and believes kisses are best given generously and often. She’s talkative when she has something to say—which is frequently—and brings enthusiasm to everything she does. Diamond gets along well with other dogs and would love a canine buddy to romp with, but she prefers a cat-free kingdom. She’s a clever pup, too, already fluent in a mix of English and Spanish cues—because why limit yourself to one language when you’re this smart? She’s looking for a fresh start with people who understand her energetic spirit and can help her continue to shine. With the right match, this lively, loving girl will be a loyal companion, an adventure partner, and a constant source of smiles. For more information on how to adopt, please call the shelter to see if this pet is still available for adoption. Then come to the shelter for a meet and greet. We are open 10:30-6 Tuesday – Friday and 10:30 – 4 on Saturday (closed 1-2 for lunch and the last Friday of every month).

Story
My grandfather (the owner) passed away last week. Cesar was his baby. I live in Seattle and cannot take him back with me. I have tried every possible rescue without success. Cesar is a very kind, lazy dog. He is 10 years old and about 100lbs. He was professionally trained with many commands. He does not jump. He barks if someone knocks on the door, but knows commands to stop. When my grandfather was alive, he knew commands to have the dog alert me or his caretaker, such as during a fall. He spends 90% of his day laying in a common area. He goes to the door, alerts, and barks if needed to go outside. He does not have a history of any health issues. He’s wonderful with children and elderly. I have not seen how he interacts with other animals. Please help me find him a home. I am willing to transport him out of state if needed, and assist in other ways to transition him into a loving home.

Story
EXERCISE NEEDS: Daily Workout EASE OF TRAINING: Willing FRIENDLINESS WITH PEOPLE: Loves Everyone PLAYFULNESS: Semi-Pro FRIENDLINESS WITH DOGS: Prefers People LEASH MANNERS: Pulls Sometimes If your favorite part of the day is snuggling on the couch, meet your soulmate: Peanut Butter. This 2-year-old Yellow Lab mix is a world-class lap dog who truly believes she’s the size of a Chihuahua. She lives for kisses, cuddles, and being as close to her humans as possible. Are you ready for a love that’s smooth, creamy, and totally nuts? This 2-year-old Yellow Lab mix who is searching for her "better half!" She may be a Tripawd due to a leg deformity, but don’t let that fool you—she has a "spreadable" joy that hasn't slowed her down one bit. She’s a high-speed wiggle butt who is always ready to roll! Peanut Butter is a total cuddlebug and a self-appointed lap dog. She’s incredibly food motivated (yes, she loves the real stuff too!) and is already a pro on the leash. While she is the sweetest girl with humans and gives the best kisses, she is very choosy about her canine companions and can be dog reactive. Because of this, she’s looking for a "single-serving" home where she can be your one-and-only. If you’re looking for a loyal, 3-legged best friend to stick by your side like… well, peanut butter to a roof of a mouth… then she’s the girl for you! Come meet her and see if you’re the jam she’s been waiting for. Pro-Tips for Peanut Butter's New Jam: -The "Tripod Advantage": Tripod dogs often need a little extra joint support as they age. There are several highly-rated orthopedic beds and specialized harnesses that help take the pressure off their remaining limbs. -Managing Reactivity: Since she’s a "food-motivated" Lab mix, using high-value treats (like actual peanut butter!) during walks can help redirect her focus away from other dogs. -The "Wiggle Butt" Safety: Because she only has three legs, her "wiggle" can sometimes lead to a loss of balance on slippery floors. Non-slip rugs or toe grips can be a game-changer for her at home!
