Story
Meet Athena! Athena is a beautiful 2-year-old pure breed Labrador Retriever, a spayed female with so much love to give. Athena was surrendered by her owner because they couldn't afford to take care of her and wanted a better life for her. Athena is seeking a foster home with few to no dogs. She does not do well with our pack. She is good with little dogs from our observation and cats. She is good with children but would do best in a house with older children because of her size and her tendency to excitably jump. Athena is very smart and knows the most common commands and tricks. She does need to lose weight so weekly exercise is important. Athena is growing her fur back from a flea allergy. Athena has a very great temperament. Athena has separation anxiety. When left alone she can't hold her bladder unless she is crated or has a diaper on. She will need someone that either works from home or is willing to work on this anxiety with her.  ##2135365##

Story
From the foster parent: Chips is a sweet and gentle dog who has been an absolute joy to foster. He’s incredibly loving and loyal—his favorite things in the world are being close to his person, getting pets, and enjoying tasty treats. Indoors, he’s calm and content just being near you, making him a wonderful companion for a peaceful home environment.Chips is also a smart boy who knows commands like *sit, lay down,* and *stay*. He thrives with structure and would do especially well with someone who enjoys training and bonding through teaching. While he can be a bit reactive on walks and occasionally pulls on the leash, he is very trainable and would benefit from continued positive reinforcement and consistency. He can be a little territorial once he settles into a space and may be nervous around new people at first. However, he does best when meeting new people outside of the home with a calm and proper introduction—once he feels safe, he warms up beautifully and becomes very affectionate. He rarely barks or growls, and even in uncertain situations, he’s not aggressive. He responds well to redirection and listens attentively when called.Chips would do best with someone patient, loving, and willing to guide him with gentle leadership. He is a truly special dog with so much love to give, and he deserves a forever home where he can feel safe and loved.

Story
Nakoa is a 10 month old Golden Retreive mix with lots of energy. He love attention and being right by your side. Nakoa is great at playing fetch and loves to chew on a good tennis ball. He needs an active home that will give him lots of play time to burn off energy. Nakoa shows his affection by becoming your shadow and providing lots of licks. Please be aware that he can become destructive when left unattended. Interactive toys will be a great help with that. He is not aggressive in any way but he does nibble with play and has been known to knock over small children by bumping into them. Nakoa is neutered and current with vaccinations and prevention medication. We not longer have the time necessary to keep his happy and entertained and want to ensure he has a happy and loving home that can provide him with the attention he needs.
