Story
Despite being rescued from an abusive household, Sadie is an amazing and friendly dog, probably the friendliest dog I've ever met. She loves everything and everyone, and has no history of aggression or bites. She will constantly be at your side and will try to make friends with your kids, strangers, other animals, you name it. She also loves to cuddle. However, she needs open area or a job to do. She is extremely high energy, such that even after long walks she will be bouncing off the walls. If she does not have an outlet for her energy, she will find one, usually in the form of chewing on everything you hold near and dear, such as smartwatches, cables, containers, drywall, etc. That, or being so overly friendly and energetic to other animals in your house such that they get annoyed. She is an amazing and sweet companion dog and we hate that we have to rehome her, but she has caused a lot of damage due to not having an outlet and needs a place that suits her better.

Story
Classy is a seven year old lab mix who has been passed between households for the past 6 years. She is very sweet, energetic, and loves spending quality time with her family. She is very protective of her home and tends to bark when someone knocks or visits, and will do so until she is able to sniff the guest, then she is a sweet ball of energy who just wants to play and receive belly rubs. Classy can be easily distracted when surrounded by new faces, human or fellow fur friends, and may not follow instructions to stand down on command but that is because she is very social and gets excited to meet new people/pets. During walks she is very aware of her surroundings and likes to sniff anything in sight. Classy has no intention of hurting anyone ever but will still bark to make her presence known. I have never experienced her hurt another person or pet in all 6 years of having her, not even a bite. Classy is potty trained and enjoys walks and hard to destroy toys. She is a joy

Story
This is Hazel girl ! She is a female lab mix with dachshund. She is going on 5 months old , still a puppy !! She is very playful and full of energy! She loves to nap and eat ! She is in need of rehoming due to me moving to a smaller home and she prefers older kids . She is too rough with my 2 year old. I recommend rehoming to older kids/teens/ adults. She loves to go out and run around. And she is potty trained to go on a pee pad indoors , not yet house trained to go out frequently , but definitely needs the time outdoors to be fully potty trained . She is fully puppy vaccinated and just got her rabies shot as well! She is ready for her forever home !

Story
Meet Estrella! This 1-year-old Labrador Retriever-Terrier blend weighs 28 lbs. Estrella is as cute as a button and is looking for an active and fun-loving family! General Behavior: Estrella is a very sweet girl who loves her family with all of her heart! She can be wary of strangers but warms up quickly, especially when given rewards like fun toys or yummy treats. Estrella is a fairly quiet gal and can often be found snoozing by your feet or in your lap. Likes & Dislikes: Darling Estrella loves pets and belly rubs! Anything that gets her close to her human. She enjoys going for walks and does a little happy dance when she sees her leash. Training: This playful gal has good manners and has picked up quickly on basic commands like sit, lay down, and go potty. She is still working on her housetraining and being a little more polite on her walks. She gets quite rowdy when seeing new people and other dogs when out and about so her social skills are a work in progress. Medical: Estrella is a healthy pooch and just requires her monthly heartworm and flea preventative. Other Animals: Estrella prefers her humans to canine companions, so a home without other dogs would be ideal. A home with another dog that has developed social skills would be ok too. She has not been introduced to any cats. Children: Estrella interacts well with children of all ages and gives herself a break from them when needed. A home with kiddos would be just fine! Home: A single-family home or dog-friendly apartment living would be perfect for adorable Estrella. She will require an active family that can keep up with her young puppy energy, as well as continue to socialize her. Grooming: As a short-haired pup, Estrella will not require frequent trips to the groomer. She will need regular baths and nail trims, like any other dog. Overall: Estrella is a pro belly rub recipient who is sure to steal your heart! She is ready to find the perfect family who is always up for a game of fetch. Are you the one for Estrella? Visit our website www.PoodleandPoochRescue.org where you will find the application to adopt. You’ll be put in contact with her foster family for more information if it’s a potential match. She is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, spayed, and heartworm negative. Her adoption donation is $400 ##2006000##

Story
Franklin adopted us showed up on the porch one day and stayed about 7 years ago. He is a good companion animal and has a sister cat as well as a sister dog (no longer living with us). He does not have much experience in public but in general is very good with guest and guest pets. He has a tendency to be aggressive with young unpredictable children but is great with pre-teens and above. Ideal pet for an older adult.
