This 9.5-year-old hound/lab/mutt mix is all about the simple pleasures—quiet afternoons, leisurely walks, and lounging with his people. Personality & Lifestyle Jackson is calm, polite, and dog-friendly. He enjoys meeting people and is great with older kids, though cats are still an unknown. He’s not the type to chase tennis balls for hours, but he will happily keep you company while you sip coffee or work in the garden. Training & Habits He’s crate trained, house-trained, and while he doesn’t know formal commands, his eagerness to please makes him a quick learner. He’s not overly treat-motivated but will happily accept the occasional canned food snack. The Perfect Match If you’re looking for a relaxed, loyal friend who values companionship over constant activity, Jackson could be your guy. He’s healthy, neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and heartworm negative. Adoption Details Jackson is adoptable through The London Sanctuary. Bindy is a great couch potato cuddling buddy. She prefers to be an inside dog mostly. It breaks our heart to have to rehome her but want her to have the best life not in a shelter. She loves kids. She is a rescue from Nashville Humane Society, she was apparently tied to a telephone poll in a hurricane and left in NC we think that’s why she is deaf and she about 12 years old.

Story
Hi, my name is Shadow. I’m a 10-year-old black Lab mix, and I’ve been with my mama since I was just four months old. I love her deeply, and this is hard for both of us. Due to health issues and financial hardship, she can no longer afford to care for me the way I deserve, and she’s making this choice out of love, even though it breaks her heart. I’m a loyal, sweet boy who loves being close to my people. I enjoy long naps and following my mama around like a true shadow. I get along great with cats—I barely notice they’re there—and I do best in a calm, quiet home where I can relax, preferably without other dogs. I can be a little anxious at first and may need patience while I adjust, but once I feel safe, I’ll be your most devoted companion. I love walks, beach days, gentle adventures, puzzle toys, and Kongs, but I’m happiest just sitting by your side, sharing peaceful days together.
