Tate was found as a stray puppy, and I have been caring for him for several months. He is high energy, and unfortunately that energy has not mixed well with my senior dog. He is very active but also very sweet. He's an agile dog, and his favorite thing to do is to play fetch. He gets along with most other dogs and people, but he needs to be introduced carefully, as he can initially be skeptical/reactive in unfamiliar situations or with other pets and people he does not know. He would do best with an experienced dog owner who has the patience to work with him on behavior training and someone who has a lot of space for him to play and run off energy. He knows basic commands such as sit/stay. I estimate he is about 1 year old and full grown. He is medium sized at 36 pounds, and has not grown in about 3 months. He is up to date on vaccinations and is neutered.

Bindy is a great couch potato cuddling buddy. She prefers to be an inside dog mostly. It breaks our heart to have to rehome her but want her to have the best life not in a shelter. She loves kids. She is a rescue from Nashville Humane Society, she was apparently tied to a telephone poll in a hurricane and left in NC we think that’s why she is deaf and she about 12 years old.

Meet Tanner, an adorable, active, loving, happy, affectionate and fun adult Golden Retriever who may have some Beagle in him too which can account for his smaller size, sweet little face and bouncy personality. He is looking for a family who has a young dog with lots of playful energy to be his new best friend and a family who has loads of love to spare for this precious little guy. He's a "happy go lucky" little guy who was once affectionately called "Air Bud" after the famous basketball playing Golden Retriever!!! Being housetrained and crate trained, he is ideal for an active family looking for a new best buddy. He rides well in the car, loves playing and running in the backyard and really loves snuggling with people too. He enjoys meeting children on his daily walks but is jumpy when first meeting them, so he is a good choice for older children such as teenagers. With a face like Tanner's, he's a real |"attention grabber" on his daily walks around the neighborhood. Tanner is in perfect health, neutered, totally vaccinated, heartworm negative, wormed and microchipped. He still does need some leash training so our trainer will be working with him and his new family for a short while.
