Story
I’d like to reintroduce Wren, formerly known as Spruce, and Benny, formerly known as Crosby. They were given new names to mark a new beginning. Benny, a name rooted in “blessing”, was chosen because his survival alone feels like one—and because in his gentle eyes and soft presence, he is a blessing to everyone who meets him. Wren was named after the small bird known for its resilience and its song. Wrens are delicate yet brave, surviving storms far bigger than themselves, and Wren carries that same quiet strength—soft, pure, and full of a hope that refuses to be silenced. Together, Benny and Wren are proof that love can grow even in the aftermath of cruelty. They are tender-hearted souls who find safety in each other, who against all odds offer trust sincerely, and who show us that healing doesn’t always roar—sometimes it whispers, sometimes it leans on a brother, and sometimes it learns to sing again. Benny and Wrenny will be looking for a very special forever home who will adopt them together. Story
Steve is a sweet, playful, and very snuggly guy who adores his people and takes cuddling very seriously. Once you’re in his inner circle, he’s loyal, affectionate, and always down to hang out. Steve can be a little skeptical of strangers and certain things he finds suspicious (uniforms, bikes, and golf carts—rude!), so he’s looking for a patient home to help him build confidence. He’s eager to learn, knows his basic cues, and is crate trained. With calm introductions and positive guidance, Steve continues to make great progress. The best friendships are built, not rushed! Story
Gidget is an adorable 18-month-old black Lab mix with a happy spirit and a heart full of love. She’s at that wonderful age where she’s playful and energetic, but also ready to settle in and enjoy cuddle time with her people. This sweet girl loves attention, enjoys being part of the action, and is always eager to make new friends. Whether it’s going for walks, playing with toys, or just hanging out by your side, Gidget is happiest when she’s included. Gidget would thrive in a home that can give her regular exercise, structure, and lots of affection. She’s still young and learning, so continued training will help her grow into the best companion she can be. If you’re looking for a loyal, fun-loving pup who will bring joy and laughter into your life, Gidget may be the perfect match for you. 💙 If you are interested in learning more about this dog, please complete an application by visiting http://www.floridaurgentrescue.com/adopt.
