A WONDERFUL PUPPY FRIEND:  Approx. 3-4 months old / Approx. 32 lbs. & growing Hi, I’m Lovie!  I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control and knew it was my lucky day when they came for me!  Things got even better when I went to stay in a loving foster home!  I’ve enjoyed soaking up the love and attention there and can’t wait to do so in a home of my very own! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I met other dogs at Mostly Mutts and liked them!  In my foster home there are three very different dogs, and I love wrestling with the big 90-pound dog!  I’m very submissive and do a great job respecting corrections from the 40-pound “alpha” dog and I’ve also learned to give the grumpy, nervous small dog plenty of space.  I think that gives me an A+ in the dog friend area.  So, if you have a nice dog that would enjoy a playful puppy friend, let’s meet. / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids in my foster home yet.  I’m very loving, but I can also be quite excitable – my foster jokes that I’m in my “climbing” phase right now.  Because I’m still working on my jumping, I may be a bit too much for children under 10 at this time, so if you have kids around that age or possibly a little younger, let’s meet.  • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  My foster reports that I’m a total Velcro dog – a submissive, eager-to-please sweetheart who loves being close to my people.  I have great puppy energy, but I’m also perfectly happy entertaining myself quietly with toys for long stretches of time.  I make the perfect office mate, too – while my foster works, I’ll happily snooze in an office chair and stay pretty dog-gone quiet. I’m such a sweet girl, and I know I’ll make someone very happy.  For my photo shoot, I was all puppy - fun, active, and full of personality! / Energy level: 5-7. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: In my foster home I know the ‘sit’ command so far and they report that I’m very obedient so I think training will go well with me.  I’m looking for a family that will teach me everything I need to know to grow up and become a wonderful adult dog – so get ready for some training with your new best friend. / At night, I sleep on my own in my foster’s office and I haven’t made a peep – I’m usually still fast asleep when morning comes!  I haven’t even needed to use a crate, as I do great with this setup. / My potty training is coming along well for my age!  I’ll scratch at the door to let you know when I need to go outside.  I still have the occasional “puppy brain” accident if I get too excited during playtime, and I can be an excited pee-er when meeting new people, so calmer intros work best and my foster has found that giving me a moment to head outside before lots of morning excitement really helps - and I keep getting better every day!    • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I love tennis balls, spending time with my family, playing with the other dogs, and enjoying Kongs filled with tasty treats.  I also have a unique hobby – dragging my bed around so I can “rearrange” my space just the way I like it! / I’m not a big fan of car rides or loud noises – like that loud garbage truck can scare me and make me want to hide. I also wouldn’t be happy if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I've started my puppy shots, but you will have to finish these for me as I grow.  I’m also micro-chipped and spayed. The person who found him said that while they had him he was good with their dog and kids and seemed to be housetrained. Sabrina is a one year old, 31 pound possible boxer/lab mix that was picked up stray by a shelter. We dare anyone to look at that sad face and walk away, so we have her now. The shelter said she was timid and shy, but she was lucky to find a great foster home, and she is thriving there with their two dogs, one of which is her twin. She loves to play and is great with people. She is good on a leash, and was excited to see kids at the bus stop. Sabrina is housetrained and great in her crate.
