Meet Max 7 Years Old Lab Mixed with Large Breed 90 lbs Fostered in Boise Max is a 7-year-old Lab mix with the soul of a couch potato and the heart of a gentle giant. At around 90 pounds, Max is a big boy, not overweight just built large, possibly with a larger breed like a Great Dane in his family tree. Originally from a shelter in Fort Worth, Texas, Max made the journey to Idaho for a second chance at finding his forever home. He’s already overcome a lot, including successful treatment for heartworm, and is now fully cleared, healthy, and ready for adoption. Max is incredibly sweet and deeply people-oriented. He lights up when his humans come home, leaning in for snuggles and occasionally attempting a very sneaky (and slightly rude) ear lick when he gets the chance. His favorite place in the world is the couch, where he spends most of his day relaxing and soaking up companionship. While Max does have an old knee injury, he remains active and enjoys daily walks. He would benefit from continuing pain management, such as carprofen, to keep him comfortable and moving well, something he’s done great with. Max is dog-friendly in the sense that he coexists beautifully with other dogs, but he’s not looking for a canine best friend. He prefers to mind his own business and do his own thing. If you’re hoping for a dog who will play nonstop with your current pup, Max may not be the right match, but if your dog would enjoy a calm, respectful companion, Max fits that role perfectly. He is currently fostered with cats and is indifferent to them. He does show some extra interest in chickens, but redirects well with verbal guidance. Max would thrive in a home that appreciates a mellow, loving presence, a dog who doesn’t ask for much beyond a comfy couch, daily strolls, and people to love. Clover has a naturally submissive, easygoing personality and showed no concern around larger dogs at the shelter. While she hasn’t yet been introduced to kids or cats, her tender spirit suggests she would do best in a calm, loving environment. She is crate-trained and house-trained, rides beautifully in the car, and walks nicely on a leash. Clover isn’t a dog who needs constant activity—she simply wants to be near you. Whether she’s curled up on her dog bed, resting on the couch beside her foster mom, or quietly following you from room to room, Clover’s happiest place is wherever her person is. Clover does have special medical needs that make her story even more meaningful. She has Megaesophagus, which is well managed with a simple feeding routine using frozen, meatball-shaped meals. She also has torn ACLs in both back legs, which are inoperable due to her other medical condition. Because of this, Clover needs a home that can offer a calm, low-impact lifestyle and understand her mobility limitations. Despite everything, Clover remains gentle, loving, and content—asking only for soft beds, routine, and affection. Clover can be a little shy around men at first, but with patience and kind words, she blossoms into a devoted companion. Available in TX only! King is a one year old Basset Hound/Lab mix with a gentle soul and a laid back nature. He is still gaining confidence and can be scared of new things, especially loud noises, but once he feels safe he settles in nicely. When he gets excited he can be a little jumpy, though most of the time he is calm and easygoing. King truly enjoys running around the yard, going on walks, and soaking up outdoor time. He has a playful side and loves playing fetch with frisbees and balls. Tug of war is another favorite game, and he is a big fan of chew time. Knuckle bones, hard chew toys for power chewers, and anything he can safely gnaw on make him very happy. King is crate trained and house trained, which makes him an easy addition to a home. King does have a prey drive and enjoys chasing squirrels and frogs, and he will chase cats, so a cat free home is recommended. He also has a sensitive stomach and does best on sensitive stomach dog food, as treats like milk bones do not agree with him.
