Story
Located in: Boise, ID Breed: Lab/Hound Mix Age: 8(ish) Adoption Fee: $50 Jack is a wonderfully mellow dog with an amazing personality. He loves his ear rubs and chew toys but most of all he loves getting outdoors for all the smells and all the walks. He is great on a leash and leads the way with little redirecting. He ignores other animals including cats which he has been wonderful with in his temporary home. He is not afraid to let you know when it is breakfast or dinner time and loves to root around his food puzzle. Everyone who meets Jack comments how wonderful and mellow that he is. He has lost some of his hearing but is adapting well to hand and body commands. Jack is looking for his forever home and would benefit from a place that allows him to get outdoors frequently. He loves being around people and doesn’t mind other animals as long as they are respectful. He does have some allergies that are well-maintained with his medication which he takes without issue.

Story
Located in: Boise, ID Breed: Lab Mix Age: 8 months Adoption Fee: $75 neutered, vaccinated, microchipped Adoption Application: https://fuzzypawzrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application-2/ Chugs is a delightfully fun and energetic boy who came to Fuzzy Pawz when his people could not keep him. This guy is not only sweet and fun-loving but equally smart as well! He learns quickly and is VERY eager to please. He looks for direction from his people as if to ask “What do you want?” or “Is this okay?” He’s house-trained and crate-trained, but would rather sleep in your bed if he was allowed. This guy is a true cuddle bug—he comes up and puts his head nicely in your lap for pets, and maybe if he thinks you won’t notice, he will attempt to crawl in your lap. You’ll notice, but sometimes it’s just too sweet to resist. Chugs has not been exposed to many things in his young life, so can be fearful of new experiences and new people. He’s learning every day and making progress. Chugs can get very protective of the women in his life; he will bark/growl at anyone who gets close to his lady (even someone else who lives in the home). He is young and eager to please so a family that is willing to put in the work would be best; or he would also do great in an all male household. He will not do well with kids in the home; a quieter home life with slow introductions to the big wide world would be best. He also has some separation anxiety that his foster home is working with him on. He will cry for a bit when put in his crate but is not destructive. We will recommend he does not live in an apartment, since he can get kind of loud when he’s upset about being left. He does settle down and is now crating at night with little complaint. He does take comfort if someone is in the room with him, so sleeping by his family’s bedside might just be the answer. (His foster home cannot provide this for him, but his foster mom slept on the couch in the same room and he was okay). Chugs is a big silly puppy that only wants love, attention, food, and play. What else is there? He would love a confident, happy dog sibling to play with who will tolerate his goofiness and sometimes overzealousness. He does get along with other dogs, instigating play, and listens to corrective action when he’s playing rougher than they prefer. He is big and still growing, so he might be too much for a small dog. His favorite game is tug, whether with people or a doggie playmate. Chugs will be a wonderful companion for any active family who’s willing to put in a little effort and patience to help him grow up and grow into himself with confidence. He has so much potential with his smarts and willingness to please.

Foster Location: Boise ID Age: 12ish Breed: Lab Mix Neutered, vaccinated, microchipped Adoption fee: $50 DO NOT email us, you must fill out an application if interested: Adoption Application: https://fuzzypawzrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application-2/ Upon meeting Buddy everyone immediately says he is the sweetest most gentle boy in the world. Buddy came to Fuzzy Pawz Rescue after being abandoned at a rental property. He was super thin and kind of shut down. A fast trip to the vet and some super yummy groceries and he is now all set to find his forever home. The vet gave him a clean bill of health, all of his blood work looked amazing! This handsome boy is so gentle and kind, he melts when you pet him and is just so easy-going! He is house trained, crate trained, dog door trained and walks well on a leash. He is great with other dogs, good with cats and has never met a human he didn’t like. All Buddy needs in his retirement years is a soft, warm bed; plenty of pets, good food and a whole lot of love. If you are looking for a mellow and loyal companion Buddy is your boy.

Story
Meet Goldie, a delightful foster dog ready to bring endless joy to her forever home. This sweet pup is a shining example of companionship, with a heart full of love and affection for her family. Goldie is crate and potty trained, making her a breeze to care for. She thrives on human interaction and adores snuggling up with her loved ones. Goldie's obedience skills are top-notch, with excellent recall and a repertoire of commands under her belt. She has a gentle nature, proven by her peaceful coexistence with cats in her previous home. Even around children aged 9-11, Goldie's affection shines through, though she may be too exuberant for toddlers. While she's a fantastic playmate, Goldie prefers to be the only dog in the household, as she can become territorial over her space. However, she's always up for a game of fetch and is highly motivated by treats, making training sessions a joy. Goldie loves car rides and would do excellent on a trip. Given her unknown past, Goldie thrives in a quiet home with a stable routine, where she can continue to blossom into the loyal companion she's destined to be. If you're looking for a devoted snuggle buddy who's as playful as she is loving, Goldie is the perfect match for you.

Story
Meet Cody, affectionately known as "Little Guy," a charming 1-year-old Labrador/Terrier mix eagerly awaiting his forever family from the comfort of his foster home. With his delightful spots and captivating coloring, Cody is quite the eye-catcher, especially with his unique white streak down the center of his head, reminiscent of a mischievous encounter with flour in the pantry! This sociable pup finds joy in the company of all dogs, but his heart truly belongs to his best buddy, Tommy, the largest dog in the household. Their playful interactions often revolve around their favorite game, Tug of War, as Cody eagerly initiates rounds with his pal Tommy. While Cody is still mastering his house training, he's making strides towards becoming fully trained and has shown a remarkable adaptability to his surroundings. His foster mom quickly realized Cody's comfort with freedom, as he enjoys playing and socializing with his furry companions when left to his own devices. Cody's affectionate nature extends beyond his canine friends; he's also proven to be a hit with the kids he's met. Although he hasn't encountered cats yet, given his youthfulness, there's potential for a harmonious introduction to feline friends under the right circumstances. As an energetic puppy, Cody thrives on playtime, relishing in interactive toys and, of course, a good game of Tug of War. When he's not romping around, you'll find him nestled among his fellow dogs, enjoying a well-deserved nap. Currently honing his obedience skills, Cody's primary focus is on mastering the "sit" command, showcasing his intelligence and willingness to learn. With continued patience and consistent training, Cody is poised to become an exemplary addition to any loving family. If you're seeking a playful and affectionate companion to enrich your home, look no further than Cody. Don't let this opportunity pass to welcome the adorable "Little Guy" into your life, bringing boundless joy and warmth to your family. Story
Hi everyone. Remember me? It's Kris Kross, your favorite GCAC alum. I got rescued by Friends of Dogs in July 2023. I was a mess when the officers brought me in. I had a thin scar around my neck from where I used to be tied up. That hurt. I also had a sore back ankle and infected ears. To top things off, my eyes are kind of crossed. Friends of Dogs didn't save me because they felt sorry for me. They saved me because I'm a sweet, happy guy who deserves a shot at a good life. They saved me because I have a kind heart. I guess kind hearts always recognize other kind hearts. Ms. Susan took me home and then to the vet to assess me. Well I'm about 3 years old, 43 pounds and heartworm negative. The vet thinks I may have had some trauma to my head at some time affecting my brain and also causing my eyes to cross. My sore ankle is from previous trauma but the vet didn't think I was in pain from it. Could be the injury to my leg caused it to grow incorrectly. I'm still growing and my growth plates aren't fused yet. So we'll wait and see about that. Right now it gives me a cute little hop when I walk. Ms. Susan has been keeping me safe and secure since then and letting me get comfortable in a caring place I've never had before. I've been neutered and I'm ready for my next step in life's journey. I need a special home or sanctuary. My greatest joy in life is to be with people. I yearn to be close to you and long for your tender touch. I'll soak up your pets and cuddles like a sponge. Sure I'm fine with other dogs and enjoy the company. I'm cordial and polite to the other dogs and then hurry to get back inside with my people. So there I am. I can be a little anxious and needy likely due to my past trauma. I'm a special boy with a lot to offer. I'm ready to go to a home that understands my needs. I'm up for going to another rescue which is used to dealing with dogs like me and could pair me with just the right home. So many possibilities. I just need the right one. Please share my story. Someone out there is waiting just for me.

Meet Bogey and Birdie - they are brother and sister from the same mom and dad. We’ve had them since puppies and they’ve been nothing but great. The only reason we’re looking at potentially rehoming them is we got them when it was just my wife and I and now we’ve got 4 little kids. Since they’ve been around each other for their whole lives, we’re asking they go together.
